Great pics mate, I really must do Scotland next year, nearly went last month but the lure of France proved too strong.

For some reason I can't upload any photo's at the moment, and looking at the time that the last one was posted, I guess I'm not the only one?

I have a colleague at work who does a bit of club racing, still in the novice group. He was at East Fortune a few weeks ago, and while he went out for the evening, he asked some friends at the circuit to look after his bike.

It wasn't until he saw this photo that he found out how carefully his "friends" looked after his bike for him..............................

Went out of a ride near Thetford Forest and found an interesting shortcut, Harling Drove.

I quickly realised how unsuitable the moped is for this as after going through a puddle, which was far deeper than it looked, it wouldn't go above 20mph on the way home and coughed and spluttered at anything above half throttle.

Arrived home looking like this

Cue the pressure washer, torque wrench and a thorough clean of the jets and it now runs better than it did before the off road venture.

Very cool the fact you scud about the way you do on the veteran Yammy. It'll stand you in great stead whn you're able to step up in size.

Good luckand go well thumbup

Did the Irish Rally last week on the 64 MAC engine Viper. All in, around 500 miles in four days.

This is what would be called a good road:

and this is called a bit of a dodgy road - although not the worst track we rode as this one has visibility and no hairpins (photo courtesy of a mate):

My bike at rest:

A few other bikes that completed the whole thing, mile upon mile of rubble tracks, up mountains and down - which is the hardest on an old bike with no brakes!

We only had one breakdown, dad's KSS Velocette broke its kickstart spring which immobilises Velocettes. We had lots of other little bits fell off and my clutch no longer works (suspect it's just a cable needs oiling) and a few chops and scrapes but nothing much.

A grand week!

Awesome!

You haven't got a spare old bike you want to lend me so I can come next year?

Looks excellent and would love reading/hearing more about it.

I'm looking to do the same shortly, would you mind posting any recommended routes, stops or camp sites?
