Amazing how bikes changed from 1928 to 1964 when you see this. Easy to see why the 20s stuff is so fast, they clearly concentrated on the engine in the 20s and forgot the rest; brakes and suspension and st.
Left is a 350cc Velocette MAC engine Viper (350cc Overhead valve), on the right is a 1928 AJS K8 (500cc Overhead valve). Guess which is quicker
I'll take the one on the right please, just looks damn right Left is a 350cc Velocette MAC engine Viper (350cc Overhead valve), on the right is a 1928 AJS K8 (500cc Overhead valve). Guess which is quicker

The "excellent condition" kawasaki was scrap. Oil pissing out the engine, ran on 3, wiring hanging out all over the place and knackered brakes. I then went to look at a VFR but that was worse! Went to look at this and it was as described. Needs tax and a back tyre but that helped negotiations.

Some more pics from the Classac Suzuki Sunday..
This meet was the last ride of 2014 for the LC , taken it off the road now, covered 1,735miles on it this year, everyone of them has been brilliant fun and memorable.
75 miles each way for me for a mug of coffee and a lung full of 2t fumes and ringing ears when they struck up Barry Sheens old RG up, perfect day!!Some more pics from the Classac Suzuki Sunday..

I didnt see it when I got there(around 12ish) but I do now know the owner, Roy, quite well now, he's cracking on a bit in years but he tells me he's building another over the Winter..!
The owner of the cafe has a GT750, hence the large showing of them..and the staff all wearing GT750 T Shirts!
Worth the trip anyway eh.
