Work best and suits the era of the bike Yazza...much like your R1..the ultra "stubby" look just looks ste IMHO and robs many bikes of power .

..and very nice Mr2Mike, id be chuffed with that.

Yes I hate the stubbys, the traditional akras just always look extra long to me

Proper bit of kit though

Countersteering in action.
Are you serious or just having a laugh ?
I think you'll find you'll need a front tyre on the ground for counter steering to be relevant ....
He's clearly countersteering. You can see him countering the steering.

Oh dear....
Ok...he's counter steering.
Counter lean has been, and often is, confused with counter steering. I know where you are coming from , but I'm not going through it all here and now as it would be too time-consuming however , I'm sure you shall have a close look into it now.

Technically Mr Doohan is steering from the rear by sliding the rear tyre causing the bike to finish the turn earlier. The front turning in the opposite direction is mainly to stop him falling off.

Or of course I could just be talking ste ?

Not really. I know exactly what it is. I just felt you would enjoy feeling knowledgeable for a moment.

Haha - all good fun ,I know. ...and we're not going to get started again, Chipchap, even with the rear sliding thing...not so much steering it with rear tyre, more driving it, cos if the front wasn't pointing where it is,ie away, not in a a straight line, it would be all over...so steered it is,however,I get the game and feel grateful for that warm feeling all over you which you have allowed me, Prolapse - gracious of you. I remain indebted.

My first bike on the road at 16 was an AR50! Happy days!

I had an MT50 when i was 13. A 2 mile gravel track ran next to our house, plus we had fields to muck about in round the back. Great fun! A mint MT50 has come up for sale - same spec and colour as my old one. Temptation to buy it for nostalgia!!!!!!

I had virtually the same, but an ex junior teens spec bike, honda rs125 race fairing, motor was a peach, the lad who raced it had 98mph at snetterton back in the day....

Loved it, i was king of the local moped lads
