Is that a 600 or a 750 Yazza? You'll have a mint time on it I think and you'll love the induction noise, I'd be interested to hear how you think it feels in comparison to the R1, as the first generation R6 and R1 are the bikes that really moved the game on the SRAD.
It's a 600, I'm looking forward to it. It'll be nice riding something I'm not that arsed about and it's a long time since I've ridden something that needs the knackers revving off it. Whilst I've got a litre bike on the road it made no sense to me to have one on the track, would probably only slow down the learning process.Yazza54 said:

Looks like you got a good deal to me presuming it rides ok. Good luck with it. LC fettle today, fitted a standard finished bottom yoke to replace the powder coated item and some recently refurbed forks, I had these polished/finished to a brushed look, pics dont do them justice , they do look superb.
Gave the back end a good clean up too..Past couple of weeks ive cleaned up all the wiring loom and connectors & fitted some refurbed engine cases..I think the "Winter" refurb of the LC is pretty much done.

Top work mate! That reminds me, yesterday, in the car, I overtook a police bike, he had been travelling at 65-75MPH on the M25, flirting in and out of teh traffic and slowing everything up, it was around 12pm and amazingly for the M25, clear , I passed him at around 75-77MPH , in the middle lane, at which point he started beeping and waving his arms at me.I ignored him..
He then swopped over he was on a Tron bike to the fast lane and indicated for me to wind down the window , at which point he started shouting at me for having the cheek to overtake him and he was doing a calibrated 70MPH etc etc, I pretended I couldnt hear much of what he was saying and gave him the thumbs up and a grin "cool bike Mister"...he was bloody furious..
Ive overtaken many police cars and bikes at this sort of speed in the past with no problem but this guy was on a real power trip, so watch out the fat bd on a BMW upright RT thing, KX12 ***, he's large and in charge...

Very true..I loved my 600 SRAD, after years of "big" bikes, riding a 600 again after 20 years or so since last owning one was a real breath of fresh air, you'll have a lot of fun on that.PS I have a rear subframe complete if you should need it..
