I would like to add that I know the guy that makes these. You would not believe the love that goes into producing these pipes. Not one item is made offshore so QC can be maintained.

These are not a roll off the production line jobby, each pipe is only handled by 3 people apart from the chroming aspect, and one of those is to package and invoice

A proper cottage industry that should be supported

Sorry if this sounds like an advert, but just ask Jim Lomas or Tyga if they will do a bespoke CR500/Mito or 1960's Ducati 250 exhaust

Out of interest is it still the same guy making them ?

I had a pipe made by him in the early 90's and iirc he seemed quite old at the time.
He was working from a place up the A12 at the time.
It was a one off 4-1 for a special made from stainless, fantastic job of it.
20+ years later it still cleans up well

End of the season, its been a long one and ive not really looked after the old girl like i usually do.

Time for a MASSIVE stripdown and winter rebuild.

Well done on making it through the season ok. I've been following on FB. Why do you reckon the engines have been going pop if you don't mind me asking?

Its not the motors exactly, its third gear. Both times its tried throwing third out the back of the block, the gearboxes (in race trim) are known to be the weak point so its not exactly a surprise. I have also changed the rearsets to give a slightly better 'throw' as the studioreinert ones always felt a bit vaugue.

I might have a kit box for next season so that will cure the issues for sure, regardless the motor is coming out to have a once over, some slightly hotter cams and then timed in (and a kit gasket)

Its also finally getting a decent ignition system too, with dyna2000 setup on its way.

And the noise deadening removed from frame, rear crankcase breather mod, quick action throttle etc.

The lad who runs these nights said that Freddie had a book that he wanted me to sign.

I told him I don't do that anymore.
