Thanks Andy - It's amazing how much more civilised your twin spark head 1198 engine is in the Multistrada - especially at low revs.

New DVT version promises to be even better; http://blog.motorcycle.com/2014/10/15/design/ducat...Ive had a few days off this week and considering the time of year, I couldnt have asked for much more.
Wednesday I started the Winter fettle of the YamaGamma..
Please God I hope I domnt have to get stuck into this lot any time soon..
Thursday I finished the "Winter" tasks I had wanted to do on the LC, so I popped the Allspeeds back on and filled it coolant/gearbox oil, shes ready for 2015 now..The Suzuki is a complete b'std to work on Vs the LC, thats not because on the engine transplant, its just a ste design mainly.
...and today I did a lovely 150ish miles on the GSXR to Motorcycle Mega Store in Swindon, they have some really good quality Kawasaki indoor covers on offer for £10, medium and large(the large dwarfs the Hayabusa...)I bought one of these exact covers around a decade ago and its stil going strong and they are washable, bargain, I loaded the top box up with a few more for myself and a mate.
Had a good spirited ride down the A420 on the way home, do love that road.
Ill be gutted to go back to work on Monday

Not bad at all, nice to ride something that I can just give a handful without thinking to hard about it. Few first sessions were on wets, which were fking awesome. Just rode on them as if it was dry! After lunch the supercorsas went on which again were great, struggled to get my head around the low pressures at first with the bike under steering like fk, the tyre bloke gave us warm pressures but as I had no warmers it was a few psi too low, the result was it was fking awful. Got them re set and sag checked as well while I was at it which was a fair bit out front and back which made a big difference. Few things to do on the bike, gearing wasn't really right etc. All in all pleased with the bike and managed to embarrass some much faster bikes. My second TD and Toms first, we were both told we should be in inters, which was nice.
