Not bad at all, nice to ride something that I can just give a handful without thinking to hard about it. Few first sessions were on wets, which were fking awesome. Just rode on them as if it was dry! After lunch the supercorsas went on which again were great, struggled to get my head around the low pressures at first with the bike under steering like fk, the tyre bloke gave us warm pressures but as I had no warmers it was a few psi too low, the result was it was fking awful. Got them re set and sag checked as well while I was at it which was a fair bit out front and back which made a big difference. Few things to do on the bike, gearing wasn't really right etc.

All in all pleased with the bike and managed to embarrass some much faster bikes. My second TD and Toms first, we were both told we should be in inters, which was nice.

Sounds like you had a good productive day then. Was Tom on his new bike ?

I didn't realise you chaps were playing out or I would of come down. I'm in desperate need of a bike related fix at the moment.

I've got a job sorted out now ( fingers crossed ) so I'm going to keep a eye out for a track slag biggrin

Ive had a few days off this week and considering the time of year, I couldnt have asked for much more.

Wednesday I started the Winter fettle of the YamaGamma..

Please God I hope I domnt have to get stuck into this lot any time soon..

Thursday I finished the "Winter" tasks I had wanted to do on the LC, so I popped the Allspeeds back on and filled it coolant/gearbox oil, shes ready for 2015 now..The Suzuki is a complete b'std to work on Vs the LC, thats not because on the engine transplant, its just a ste design mainly.

...and today I did a lovely 150ish miles on the GSXR to Motorcycle Mega Store in Swindon, they have some really good quality Kawasaki indoor covers on offer for £10, medium and large(the large dwarfs the Hayabusa...)I bought one of these exact covers around a decade ago and its stil going strong and they are washable, bargain, I loaded the top box up with a few more for myself and a mate.

Had a good spirited ride down the A420 on the way home, do love that road.

Ill be gutted to go back to work on Monday
Nice trip and pics Bryan - I just went on-line and bought 3 of those covers from them as you rate them.

Do it mate, there's some dirt cheap bikes out there and your riding will come on leaps and bounds.

This is me in a similar position to Ryan. I went out with an instructor after this thanks to Loon. He was very complimentary of my riding but said I needed to work on my body position which for the rest of the day. Don't seem to have any really good pictures but you can definitely see the difference in this.

Really enjoyed the day and learnt a lot from it. As Yazza said I always had it in the back of my mind I had to ride home but never really felt like I'd overdone it. I was pretty impressed when the instructor said I was leaving black lines coming out of brittens, I know it isn't fast but it's still pretty cool. It was a bit weird just being happy spinning up the rear without panicking, it happened most of the morning due to it being wet.

I was cursing you when you went past me on the M62 on the way back, was gone 9pm when I got home as the M6 was blocked so had to go the scenic route home.

I had a great time, it was a good craic being there with a few mates, under no pressure and just having a laugh fking around on bikes.

Once I learnt which way the track went I just got quicker and quicker, riding on wets was great after trusting them to grip, I was happier when it dried up after lunch then I could have a proper go, I was happy enough with my pace in inters I rarely got overtaken and passed quite a few people myself, considering it was the first time I've ridden on track I was/am as they say 'very appy'

One thing yesterday taught me was how unfit I am, I was knackered by the end of the day, and feel like I've been hit by a bus today, I'll have to get bike fit again, its a shame I can't fit my work stuff in a bag, commuting would soon sort me out.

Edited to add a big thanks to Simon for the use of no 131, Its great having mates with a garage full of bikes wink

I wondered if I passed any of you guys on the way home. The traffic was bad until I got this side of Manchester just constant queues. Still managed to get back home in an hour and 40 minutes which is what Google maps says normally for me.

Just removed this pesky little bugger from the Daytona this week, finally.

Correct guess gets a virtual pint.

Yes! I think I was just asking a little too much from a brand new tyre at 25psi with a leaking valve core, on a greasy cold road frown - oh well! It's got little to show for it now, bar a couple of fairing scars.
