Is that your track bike?

I bet your abit quick on the track!
No Jim, it was leant to me by a top bloke, as for being quick, I dunno, nowhere near as quick as BN (my hero ) or Loon (but he has a race transporter, motorhome, team personel and silicone enhanced brolly dollies following him everywhere) it was my first ever TD, I didn't get overtaken much and did plenty of overtaking myself if that means anything, I could be a lot quicker with practise but these things take time, and money, lots of money frown

Sad day for me as the R6 goes to live with its new owner. I will miss it, always been absolutely spot on during my time with it. Never had any issues with it.

To cheer myself up I booked a trackday at Cartahena for January biggrin

So I was at Pidcock Triumph yesterday picking up my new Tiger (which will be my winter/touring bike) ...

... when this 1995 Honda VRX400 Roadster came in on the back of a van as a part ex. Completely non running, last taxed 5 years ago, and in a bit of a state. Been looking for a project over winter (and to teach myself motorcycle mechanics) and this seemed perfect ... especially as the 3 digits of the reg were my initials, "NGP" ! All for the grand sum of £200 + £20 delivered to my house ... utter bargain !

After a quick jetwash, doesn't look tooooo bad ... if you squint. From a distance.

Will be doing a separate 'restoration' thread about the bike soon. Needs lots of work, but is basically sound. First challenge is to get it started ... battery is deceased, and there's no fuel coming out of the tap when I went to drain the old fuel (though I can hear some sloshing about inside the tank).

So that makes a stable of four then ... (black Tiger on left belongs to the missus)

David silver spares for buying common parts and use cmsnl.com for identifying less common parts. Hopefully it has your Honda on, it has most I think!

Good luck and looking forward to the thread

I do like that look, the white helmet and black leathers is quite smart.

Had to spend £40 at Pirtek to get my oil cooler hoses remade as jubilee clips wouldn't hold properly. They are slightly shinier than the rest of the engine hehe

Nice ... A quality night in...so, whats the plan for the engine then?

Paul's not around at the mo..pray tell..
New rod, small end, re-bore, big ends and a little bit of filing of the barrel and some cough, work on the head.

I've been seeing what rear shocks will fit the 125

[url]|http://thumbsnap.com/BYJn29wk[/url

In the picture there is a rear shock off a 125lc, a TZR 125 and a 350 LC

Can you guess which one is from what? Biggest on the right.
Gotta be good for 105 on the clock..just before it seizesbiggrin

Im sure I read that the 125 shock is longer than the 350, so 125 far right, the middle one 350 and the smallest TZR?

A worthy £40 if it keeps you safe from your own personal Exxon Valdez..
