Never something I've done on any of my bikes so I'm really curious to see how much of an impact it has. Hopefully that sinking feeling of panic when you don't think you're going to stop in time will be a thing of the past.
If you don't notice the difference then a monkey has fitted the parts or you shouldn't be riding a bike.Tall_Paul said:
Something a little cheaper than the Pani above...
My new bike. Picked it up yesterday morning at 9:30am, the 1.5 hour ride to get there was seriously cold.

Yeah it was, constant up and down gears with pillion through town,
Motorway journeys bit of a chore, was fun for the short time I had it though.
Thought so, i bet you find yourself on another BMW at some point though. I've had 4 and I'm only 22!Motorway journeys bit of a chore, was fun for the short time I had it though.
Try a boxer or k bike next time!

Have you binned your trail riding idea then? We went out today from Baldock and out into Essex. Was fking cold with ice everywhere, but super fun.Motorway journeys bit of a chore, was fun for the short time I had it though.

Yup. That's well buggered. Presumably from your twack bike ? Generally caused by overheating and or not bedding the pads in correctly.
I'm only looking on my phone so not the best quality pic but the pads shouldn't really have grooves in like that has either. Check your discs for ridges.

Not completely, just need to find some more money. 2 motorbikes and a car is my limit at the moment and I don't want to sell my ZXR400 yet. I enjoyed the muddy tracks I took the BMW on, as you said it was very far from real green laning but I enjoyed wrestling it around in the mud!

Genuine question - why are you buying a rear braided line ?
13 year old, original hose on the rear so want to refresh it. Fronts have already been done. theshrew said:

They have been in that bike for what maybe a year, its covered 1-2000 miles and the pad was crumbling due to corrosion.

Bet it makes no difference, the hoses are original on my 2001 97k bike & the brakes feel as good as ever to me.
You're right, it may make no difference at all, but for 20 something quid it's a nice bit of bling. I'm not changing because the rear is crap or I expect a million times better braking, it really is more of a just because.
