Decided against the ducati scrambler when saw it at NEC. After two street triples I know I love them so purchased this brand new before Christmas. It's painted by 8 ball and I have done a total of 1.3 miles on it!! Put a few extras on it. Not to everyone's taste but it's just how I want it in lovely colour.

New exhaust for the blade ...
Pretty chuffed with it as loved my Yoshimura on my old R1 ... A very distinctive sound.
With PCV and mapping should see gains of up to 15bhp in some parts of the rev range apparently which seems a bit bonkers ...
Nice. Where'd you get it from? Did you try the exhaust flapper mod first?Pretty chuffed with it as loved my Yoshimura on my old R1 ... A very distinctive sound.

I've just done a few bits to my RR8 - Passenger footpegs off, seat cowl on, rearsets on, new 190/55 Diablo Corsa Rosso

Ummed and arghed about either kitting up for a ride out on my V7 or my push-bike for a lunchtime spin. Push bike won so off I went down the Kennet & Avon canal for a bit. Good to get the legs spinning plus it'll help making sure the leathers don't shrink

Off CBR forum... yep, the bike is running at present with the exhaust flapper disabled. It sounds better (not much) but that's about it... I've just done a few bits to my RR8 - Passenger footpegs off, seat cowl on, rearsets on, new 190/55 Diablo Corsa Rosso
Footpegs are something I still need to do... a job for when it's warmer. What rearsets you go for? From what I've read I will be sticking with the 190/50 on my blade.
Dyno tomorrow

15hp from an end can? Come on now you're not that daft are youPretty chuffed with it as loved my Yoshimura on my old R1 ... A very distinctive sound.

Even with power commander and can that's a massive gain from nothing internally altered.
Try and do a dyno run before and after other wise the numbers don't mean anything

Who are you to come in here with your common sense?!Even with power commander and can that's a massive gain from nothing internally altered.

My thunderace is going on the dyno this week as well. Looking to sort the fuelling after putting the akra system on.

At least yours is a full system but 15hp is a hell of a lot, even 10 is. Unfortunately as well, without a run before and after on the same dyno on the same day the numbers mean nothing, apart from the info you gain about the fuelling and curve which is the main thing anyway. My thunderace is going on the dyno this week as well. Yeah, 15hp does sound ambitious without graphs to prove, maximum gains on the full system for mine are around 7hp and you would have thought honda would have made a better standard system than my bike with 10 years more development.
Sadly I won't have before and after graphs but a smooth curve is all I'm after.

He did say 'at some parts of the rev range', not outright power. Maybe possible at some points where the fuelling is especially shyte?Lol... So how many 08> blades have you tuned then?
I agree it sounds optimistic but the exhaust is VERY restrictive on the blade ... 10-15bhp in SOME PARTS of the rev range (you missed it first time) is typical ...
They dyno at 155@rear standard ... After PCV and exhaust (which replaces the CAT, EGV and EGAV 165-170@rear is typical ...
I didn't believe it myself either !
Mine is being dyno standard then going back in a few weeks with the exhaust installed ...
So I will be able to see difference for myself.
