Thanks, but no afraid not hehe

Perhaps a dyno session would smooth out that jerky on/off throttle response at the beginning of the throttle travel though.
A Speed Triple throttle tube might.

Normally down to too much free play in the cables isn't it?

If you're still using the original, do this - best £10 you'll spend on your bike.

Part:

12 PFKL1203842 GRIP. RH. THROTTLE £8.70

You'll probably need to loosen the cable adjust slightly after fitting.

I think it probably is Hooli... a lot of people describe standard 675s as snatchy on (very very little) part throttle.

I think they come with a little too much throttle cable slack from the factory, but to be honest there isn't an alarming amount of movement in the throttle before action happens so I don't know!

I've been meaning to try a 1050 tube neelyp as read it's a massive improvement - almost bought one over the summer - but realised it best to wait until my poxy 33bhp (not far off on/off!) throttle restrictor came out.

If you need to slacken the cables afterwards though i'm not sure I can be arsed until a next take the tank off - a few thou miles away now. Nightmare trying to get the damn (very early model) "quick release" fuel line connector off and hold the tank up on my own.

I've changed one on my track bike and still 3 to fit.

not tried it out yet but the throttle turn has reduced considerably, on the track this will make a huge difference, there is times I don't have the throttle fully open just because I cant get my arm down.

Why do bike manufacturers insist on building in so much throttle travel? My 250 was really bad for it, always had to slide my hand forwards with the throttle part open so I could take a second handful of throttle and get it wide open. It's hardly as if cracking the throttle wide open would tip you off the back! The SV is only slightly better.

I don't know those bikes but everything I've ridden with more than one mm of play has been hard wind on smoothly from zero throttle.

Very much doubt you'll need to remove the tank, there's usually enough slack if you just loosen out the cable adjuster.

you don't, I fitted one, adjusted the throttle, job done.

It is however an utter bd to remove the old grips and get the weight back in, and I mean an utter .

triumph make their screws out of cheese I had to drill one out took ages. much cursing and swearing.

Oh right, thats good. I'll get one before the summer then.

Yeah those handlebar control housings screws are notoriously cheese like.

Top tip - use the double ended screwdriver that comes with the bike - it fits the heads in the screws used on the 675 far better than any of the screwdrivers and screwdriver bits I have.
