For those of you not on Faceache..the bike got a polish after 1st couple of rides this year (& the Db killers put in-just to make sure it wasn't too quiet with 'em in wink )

Newcastle Motorcycles (Honda dealer) have one of these in at the moment. I'm not sure if it's pre-owned or ex demo, but the back tyre is fairly scorched so it looks like someone has enjoyed it. I love the looks of these, funnily enough the only detail that really jars to my eye is the exhaust pipe.
I took the one in Newcastle out before buying mine, It's a clean nice CB

Never get bored of riding this, Kawasaki ZXR400 at almost 24 years old. Faultless ride and through the twistys it's some of the greatest fun I've had to date with all 14,000 rpm being used.
I still think it's the best looking 400 and this one (credit to one of the previous owners 13aines) certainly has the most comprehensive history.

Having said that, if things go to plan this weekend I may need to sell it to make way for another bike.

Yeah I'm fine apart from the collar bone. Pic was taken this morning hence the frost, but was very cold/wet on track. Don't really know what went wrong, it happened so quickly. Was there with a few mates so they got all my stuff sorted and back home

Bike is alright. Scratched paintwork, bent footpeg and gear lever, plus a broken screen.

Sorry to hear George , bad news for season ... heal up quickly - young blood like you should be right for Croft ( Al Naylor's birthday trackday!!),it looks like your lid did its' job, which is the main thing and I guess wet is wet and is always unpredictable , but as stated lengthily in the Oulton diatribe from Saturday , it's still early in the year and the weather and tarmac isn't all that forgiving yet, thus the "old hands" exercising a fair bit of respect still until the season really lifts a little - hope it's a starightfoward one without complication , take care.

Glad your reasonably ok. It was grim around here yesterday so I did feel a bit sorry for all the bikes I could hear going round!

From my cosy, warm bed I heard the scraping of windscreens this morning. Weather has been glorious for the last few hours. Nevermind 'duvet days', there should be 'health half-days' so we ditch work to enjoy some activities in the fresh air and brief sunshine.
The gritters were out last night up here !

Cheers, got to go and have a plate put on it next Tuesday so will hopefully be ok after that. My main aim is to be able to race at Oulton with NoLimits on the 11th. Al keeps telling me to book croft but it was full last time I tried. If I'm ok to ride might just turn up on the day and see if anyone doesn't turn up.

I was exercising a lot of caution! Think I might have clipped the white line on the exit of the corner as I was already on the gas way before I highsided. To be honest it was over with that quickly the only thing I remember is being up in the air looking at the bike. That felt like slow motion. I'll just try to learn from it and not do it again!

Probably going to be a gloss black frame. Thinking of new gloss CF bodywork and repaint the wheels Ducati gold. White number boards with red pinstripes. Time for a change!!
As she was...

Gold frame, gold wheels, gloss black paint with Gold Ducati logo and JPS stickers. You know it makes sense - gold is by far the bestest colour for wheels ever.

Got out for a 60 miles blast tonight. 4mph off my wheelie speed record, without even trying too, so I guess she's run in - LOL!

Absolutely with you Pete, but the Gold powder coat isn't so nice. But 100% on the wheels, I might even order a new Marchesini Kompe 10 in Gold when i have the rears painted.
Motor got opened today, looks like 3rd has gone. Thing is the selector drum is looking shady, so not sure if the drum has caused the gear to go due to excessive tolerances in the fork guides.
Found a company today who's going to modify the wiring loom and remove all the superfluous rubbish, indicators, horn etc. Should be much better.
Frame should be ready in a week, and going to get the sub frame modded and gusseted as well as powder coated black. She'll be like a new bike!

Sounds great - the Ducati 1198 box is dimwitted and slow - the worst aspect of the bike in my book. I disabled my DQS to take away the temptation to use it.

So with your subframe mods, I'd avoid puddles, or you could end up with a wet gusset...
