That's your break in service. Which is an oil and filter which you need for dealer warranty claims.

Think they charge 45 quid.
Ah, obviously! D'oh!

But do they use Castrol 1T Racing oil...?! tongue out
yes, they recommend you use it.

I certainly do, I bought over 50 litres of the stuff last year (fking hell that's £300 in oil at least).

I can get 5 litres for 30 quid no problems and I don't have a trade account.

And that's fully synth not semi.

Yes i know. But when you can get 5 litres for castrol fully synthetic for 30 quid why would you use anything else.

I messaged him,

not vat registered for this,
not a mechanic, he's and engineer, i'm a design engineer, anyone fancy me working on theirs,
no warranty on work,
no stamp,
and if you put 20% for VAT on it, he's actually dearer than triumph.

And what kind of "engineer" is he? Bit of a catch all term, he could service washing machines for all we know

Take your points but why would his VAT registration affect your decision? Its not a requirement of all businesses.

ok, your right there is a threshold that you don't have to register.

it wouldn't effect my decision, but I get the feeling he wouldn't be declaring his second income.

Companies such as Warrantywise (the one with Quentin Wilson in their adverts) state you must use a VAT registered company for servicing so it could be relevant to some...

Time to tidy up the loom. Turn a road loom into a race loom, removing all the rubbish like lights, lambdas, Air idle valves and such.
Hopefully pop a battery on it tomorrow and confirm all the functions before closing it up.

Hahaha!! Cheers Pete,

Bloody Italians don't make life easy though. Luigi obviously suffers from Colour blindness!! There's connectors that have absolutely zero reference to anything on the wiring diagram! Grrrr
Time to start testing the ECU pin outs!
