I love good quality carbon and TYGA stuff is superb... really nice. I'm trying to resist covering the Fireblade in the stuff... looking at Gav's shop on eBay is not helping!!!

I bought tank infills, exhaust shield and the fairing infills last night. Not sure whether to do the hugger or not. I won't be doing the front mudguard.

Thing is with carbon with not enough it will just look odd... too much and will look like a tarts handbag... I bought tank infills, exhaust shield and the fairing infills last night. Not sure whether to do the hugger or not. I won't be doing the front mudguard.
If you do the hugger, you have to do the mudguard to balance the bike each end.
Don't bother with chain guard...
I bought the kit for my R1 ... chain guard, hugger and mudguard for £225... then sold the chain guard on eBay for £50... cheaper than buying seperately and come sale time when I got rid of the bike I sold the stuff on and only lost £25...

Indeed. I'll wait for my stuff to turn up and see what needs what.If you do the hugger, you have to do the mudguard to balance the bike each end.

I should avoid ebay whilst drinking.

I got pissed and purchased a Macbook Air last Thursday, and nearly a week later it hasn't arrived due to easter weekend, so I don't even have anything to show for my money as of yet!
I bought an umbrella that automatically opens AND closes whilst drunk.
Right in time for summer.

That's it's first run since I replaced the stator, a lot of melted wires, the regulator, and the battery. Another big shout out to Ian Murray motorcycles of Edinburgh who failed to spot any of this despite invoicing me for them checking the charging system which meant me pissing around with air hoses and fueling for bd hours as I was barking up the wrong tree.
FFS, is there any good bike servicing available in Edinburgh?!gwm said:

FFS, is there any good bike servicing available in Edinburgh?!I'm still going to use Ian Murray's but I'm having a word with him about it when I'm next in. We all make mistakes and for £23 and my time only, it's petty to pursue it further, especially since he did some welding for me for cheap afterwards.
Even Saltire who messed me around have in the past compensated me with tyre discounts, a free back protector, and a balaclava. So I really can't argue they didn't try and put things right.
Maybe my expectations are just too high.

On a personal level they all seem nice blokes, but I think but yes I've been disappointed by all of them except Honda who frankly I just don't like.

I don't know, I just expect them to do the job they are being paid to do. Saltire damaged my wheels (and their attitude afterwards stunk), and Honda couldn't adjust the play in my steering stem as they didn't have a £10 socket (despite selling a GSX-R while I was in there waiting!). Ian Murray were next on my list to try.
