I can't match the beauty and presence of the 1199 but I did pick up my new 821 this week. A wonderful bike to ride - very happy. The tone of the stock exhaust is, I think, the best I've come across. Makes the upgrade to the Termi's very hard to justify. Nice problem to have I guess . . . :-)

Thanks for that Bass GT3 - I noticed that the throttle pickup isn't the cleanest at low rpm, so not something I want to exasperate and interesting to know that its wide open from 85%, I guess I'm just used to knowing for sure I'm WOT when the throttle stop is hit.
What is the consensus on getting the fueling optimized? As I've read (and can tell) that the Race ECU's mapping is not 100%.

And as this is a picture thread, one more pic -

when i was looking at this on my phone those looked like wets. It wasn't till i zoomed in i saw they were pr4's!

I'm on my phone. What does the logo say at the bottom left? That's why I thought it's a library shot.

Its a very enjoyable handful compared to the S1000RR, loves being leant over too whereas the S1K preferred to rocket along in a straight line.
The 1198 is a lovely looking and sounding bike, I've often thought about buying one. One of the bike mags did a feature on twins v fours that included the 1198 and S1000RR, the BMW leant over further and had a faster corner speed than the 1198, perhaps the Ducati just suits you better.
