M3 was shut this week, was on a bit of a mission, some decent folk helped me build a ramp and push the VFR off the motorway, through a small field and onto a road which got me back on my journey....Nothing stops the ol Honda.

Awesome clap

I once came across unexpected road works while delivering a friend who was visiting from another country up to Manchester.

I asked a worker if I could go through rather than an unknown length/time detour versus 30 yards of road works. He said I wasn't allowed but he hadn't seen me.

Cue my pillion moving a couple of cones out the way and a foreman waving his finger as I blasted the VFR up the road hehe
Thats brilliant, I bet those involved with getting you going again quite enjoyed the "job" as well..

Kudos to you, that looks proper. Looks like you've got a couple of front tyre warmers! Is the clearance on the pipes as close as it looks in the picture?

Projects like that blow my mind and make me feel like a talentless Fwit all at the same time.
Haha nah they're miles away

One of the few bikes that I thought was a good price was this immaculate Bimota, tucked away in a corner, ignored by all the old folks who make up most of the crowd

That does seem good value compared to what people are asking for the most mundane of 70s/80s stuff nowadays...

I actually just seen them from another angle in your build thread, I take it back!

Can I ask, I've never seen a radiator with the concave side to the motor before, is that normal or have you chosen to run it that way?

Busy biking weekend for me..

Out with my Dad yesterday, popped into a few bike shops looking at post test bikes, he passed his theory with flying colours last week, think he got 49 out of 52 for the questions and creamed the hazard perception test too, I thought he would really struggle with that more than the riding even but there it is..

Got to the 2 stroke meet at the Super Sausage a bit lot and I think most had left.

...and in other news, Mrs P makes the move from pillion to rider...CBT booked in a few weeks...

It's how a few people who've done 350 mitos have run the rad as it puts the outlet right next to the water pump, to be honest the radiator and plumbing is one thing in not really happy with, but I think it'll be developed as I go along. For now I just want it running and set up on the dyno.

Cheap Halfords 12V air compressor finally gave up after over 10 years of use - been in the boot/spare wheel well of all but my very first car and was very handy pumping up bike tyres too.

Few weeks hopefully, ballache waiting for parts. For example the domino throttle I'm waiting for is on 2 week delivery... Then when I have that I'll have to get suitable cables custom made. You can see why this is taking ages.

Went for a what was intended to be a quick ride and ended up at Matlock. Never been before had a nice run out.

I saw this so thought I'd have a quick pic as we seem to have much love for them on here. Looked in tidy condition.

fk that, it was 6 degrees at Hartside this morning, it snowed up there yesterday and there was salt on the roads, Tea was needed not slush, I'd have probably died of hypothermia if I'd have to have a slush!

A few years ago at Le Mans it was so hot the only way we could take alcohol was to pour vodka into slush puppies. Actually really nice!

Stopped at Cat and Fiddle on the way, it was dam cold up there tbh.

How long does it take to get to Hartside from Devils Bridge without riding like Rossi. In other words for a old plodder like me biggrin
