Finally got mine out from where it was stored over the winter. Gave it a quick clean

Are there any quick shifters that offer a programmable retard ramp as well as a cut or cut and retard feature??`
The Nemesis TCS has a QS function that you can change the retard ramp profiles so the power is reapplied in a gradual manner.
It's kept my Duc gearbox in stunning condition although the selector drum has just been updated due to losing the 2nd to 3rd guide peak, as they do...
I am not sure about my Trans Logic Steve I have not read the instructions or fitted it yet, an Ex Rainey 500 GP Chief Mechanic told me to use the One I have.

My cordona one has something vaguely similar I think but would have to read into it. What is good too is that it adjusts the kill times to the RPM.

Does my bum look big on it.

Think Donkey Kong in Mario Kart, well you look the equivalent on a bike biggrin

TBH the latest bikes all look very small. A ZX10 was parked next to me on Sunday and it made my bike look huge.

A QS with a reputation of destroying gearboxs is fitted to this bike.

I don't want to name them as the walls have ears and I will get into trouble.

I have a Trans-logic QS for my Honda.
Do bikes have boxes crash boxes ? Never seen how one or how it works.

How do the QS kill them ? Just not cutting the power for long enough while forcing it into gear or something like that I image ?

Constant mesh rather than syncromesh which cars have. Means you can clutchless shift a bike & it slots in without all the grinding noises & just a clonk if the revs are out.

Cheers. It's really light dependant, can look a bit boring when it's miserable weather.

Looks great in the sun though (well I think so anyway) smile

Doesn't look quite as good now with the scuff marks down one side though, will get it repainted when I can be bothered.
I really like purple had a dark Aubergine mondeo as my 2nd car and is still my favourite colour that I have had, what is the colour code as might get mine resprayed from my blue/silver if I throw it down the road again and they aren't scuffs they are battle marks

Ducati 1199 Superleggera at Oulton Park yesterday. The guy was in Novice, took it easy through the corners but absolutely monstered anything remotely straight. Number 400/500, one of only 40 or so in the UK apparently. Guy was sound, bike was very stunning in detail, quite an orangey colour and it was LOUD! I was next to him before noise testing and he had to warm it up (?) to try get the noise down before the test.

I had a look at that, had some very nice details. The colour was nice, as you say very orangey.

Looked fairly steady from what I saw of it on track, but I guess I wouldn't want to bin a £50k+ bike either. Seemed odd he went out in the afternoon without warmers too.

My mate brought another 1/500 limited edition bike there too, Aprilia RSV4 RF. Was trying to see if could get some interest to sell it.

You should have come said hello!

Yes saw that, for a limited edition bike it "looks" very ordinary, esp when sitting next to the Ducati.

Had a walk down and found your bike at lunch but didn't see anyone about.

I spent most of the day in my mate's motorhome... had too many Peronis the night before as I wasn't riding.

But the Ducati is £50k+, the Aprilia is £18k!

I actually preferred the Aprilia, love the V4 sound.

Car gearboxes are constant mesh as well. The big difference is that bike gearboxes use dog clutches and (standard)car boxes use synchromesh hubs to engage a gear.
