I've designed/machined my own for the Triumph. They work fine, and a lot cheaper if I crash a lot!

Cool, you have access to a milling machine then?

Just sent it to a tool maker I know.

Ah thought you'd machined it yourself.

Same as what I've had to do with a load of bits on the stroker, just wish I had the kit to do it myself!!!

I would do if I could get on a CNC miller and a lathe for a bit. Would like the kit myself but the amount I'd use it, it wouldn't really be justified. Unless I made a business out of selling Triumph rearsets scratchchin

Gear lever is a separate item on the left hand side.

Yes it's seperate on my design. Not the best pic but can sort of see it here:

The pivot point for the gear lever is on the frame and way in front of the rear set. I don't want to start changing that. The angle of the gear lever is changed by lengthening/shortening the bar. Other than that the only way I could change it is to put different holes for the pivot point in the gear lever itself, which seems like more effort than it's worth since I'm not going to change it.

GEORGE, did you steal the design for ses, as in your spiderwking photo it looks a replica of SES

Can only assume so, both the R6 and Triumph had ones that are separate.

No, I took the basic dimensions from the ones that were on it (I think Arrow?), then modelled up a design around that.

Surely all rear sets are going to look fairly similar? There's not that many ways you can make a rear set look!

Eta: They don't look that similar to SES do they?

Saves me £150 per set anyway.

thanks you answered my question, its a piece of pish to measure up something that's already there then spiderwk a drawing of it, I'd imagine it would be a pain in the arse to start from scratch.

Wouldn't be that difficult starting from scratch, All you need is the pitch between the holes to fasten it to the frame, then a rough figure for distance between the fixing holes and position of the footpeg. Which is what I took. All the other bits are my own design.

If it's so easy why don't you make some?

I'm a designer for a living hence my comment it wasn't belittling your efforts.

and to answer

because I don't have autocad at home,
nor the time, I need them now,
a place to have them machined.

I needed a bit more sound - Lovely Akrapovic quality and not too loud like all the cheaper 'Racefit' style ones.
