Cheers guys - no cover that I know of, but I quite like the pipework on show there. The pipes sit a little proud fron the fairing too, so I would imagine a cover might look a bit tacked on anyway. It's a half system, so on the 2014> models the cat is a can at the end of the downpipes, which stays in place.

It's the full road legal exhaust with removable baffle, so even has the sound flap. I've not connected the cables up for this though, so the flap is sprung permanently open meaning a nice sound from tickover with baffle out. I don't think it will make much difference to power/torque with the cat and O2 sensor still there and no PCV, but the exhaust is about 5kg lighter than the standard exhaust!

Looks similar to the Leo Vinci on mine Pete
Like mine?:

Low level curly ones are sooooo last year. Doesn't this year's BSB bike have a non curly system with the can in the correct place?

Fashion - if you hate what's currently "in" just wait a bit....

Couldn't resist the red swirly bits hehe

The result of a late night drink-shopping incident last week, actually arrived before the bike. Not fitted yet, I'll sort the MOT first then get 'em on. thumbup
That's them. Oh and remember to take that seat off and get something else. Only use the genuine seat for shows and Guzzi days they are irreplaceable and the copies look st.

Haha - the low level curly ones are less about fashion and more about getting enough space to have a decent 'silencer' volume. The 2015 Factory Blades are running a full length one with a 90s style look. On the road, most people have those stupidly loud Racefit ones with a silencer about 4 inches long and barely larger than the pipe itself. I think they sound st (horrible rasp) and if you like going fast, advertise your presence too much. Good silencer length and volume gives the nice blowy bass sound, killing all of the high frequency volume.

I needed a bit more sound - Lovely Akrapovic quality and not too loud like all the cheaper 'Racefit' style ones.

Looking good, Pete! thumbup

Looks nice biggrin

Also looks like you have a bolt missing from your fairing although the beer goggles might not be working correctly at the moment wobble

Fitted my new clock bracket/lock stops and adjustable handle bars.

I am busy removing the ABS system and replacing the brake line and fitting my Brembo's.

Actually no it doesn't, I am removing it because I can't be bothered with the bleeding procedure I would have to go through after fitting a new M/C and Callipers.

Close - Loch Chon. Was exploring as I've always wanted to figure out how to get to that hotel you can see right on the banks of Loch Lomond opposite Luss and that's the back road round to it. ste but, single track and like the surface of the moon! Lovely day for a wander though.

Had a shot of this today.

Pros

Looks good
Sounds nice
Handles nice, easy to turn in and nice to ride.

Cons
It's unbearable to ride for more than ten miles, so camped and I'm not big in the peg department
My balls constantly bumping the seat, couldn't grip the tank
Horrible after ten miles I wanted to walk back.

Engine - nothing low down, then bang kicks in, front goes light and you think you dancer tthen bang limiter. Wtf your left thinking. Only revs to 11,500 rpm.

You have to be in the right gear all the time. fking horrible. I was not impressed. I'll stick with 675s thank you very much.

I know it's a v twin but it was like driving a diesel. Nothing low down, a bit of a oh then change gear just as it's getting fun. It's 30 bhp more than my daytona and 40 or 50 more than my street but it just never felt quicker. Huge disappointment

Piece of st was my words at the time.

I thought twins were supposed to put out more torque ? Certainly diesels's do, which is why they don't rev as high.

Why was it so rubbish low end ?
