New guidelines mean police must have "How's my riding? Call this number." stickers on all their vehicles.

A bike looking like that could never come from Japan. MCN's website has early report that suggests it is quicker steering and better braked than 998. But for me the 916/996 is and probably always will be an all time great piece of sexy design. It was summed up perfectly by a picture in (I think) Bike that showed a bimbo laying in bed smoking a cigarette, beside a 916.

According to MCN starting at £11,000 going up to £20,000, but that is speculation, not official.

Having looked at the MCN pictures they have spoilt the famous "2 smoking barrels" by making the exhaust exit ports part of one piece. The front I am not convinced about and look forward to seeing one in the flesh before I make my mind up.

Also early reports said it was going to have a double swing arm ? Or was that just for the racing version ? Anyone know ?

Saw my first one in the flesh last night being "track dayed" out at Brands Hatch. I must say it looked nice in the photo's but is actually butt ugly when you see it for real! The lights look hideous, and the nice flowing arse end of old has been replaced with a bulbous lumpy mess. I think it will actually appeal to the same people that like the styling of the Hyabussa, and is in no way the design classic that the original was.

Was told that P&H in Crawley have one. Might go & have a looksee, or at the new Duke store on the Purley Way.
Mel - you're the 2nd person who's told me they don't look good in the flesh

Yes, P&H have got one, was in there on Sat with plenty of interest.
Sadly I didn't have time to take a good look but I thought it looked better in the flesh than the piccies in MCN etc.
