Nice bit of colour coordination going on there Tim.

Enjoy the ride but watch out for that grumpy fella who'll be trying to sell you insurance.
I'll be there on my HP4 in red, white and black spidi leathers. I'll sit near my bike and be stuffing my face with food of some description.

I don't sell insurance btw, it I can be grumpy.

If I could find a way to give you a virtual kiss from my phone, I would.

No kissing, it's a business transaction.

that gap between ruler and fork leg shouldn't be there, anyone got a set of forks to hand?

I thought it was handling a bit odd, so fitted fresh oil in the forks then wondered why I couldn't get the wheel spindle in properly, both stanchions are like bananas, oh well it'll be right when its fixed.

That does look a bit fooled, new stanctions time?

Hopefully I'll be able to get them straightened, there are no creases and its a lot cheaper than the £300 odd I'd have to find for stanchions seals etc

That's fine. I'm aiming to be in DB for 10am so meet at 8.30 at Rivvy for a gentle run up there. Sausage, bacon and egg nutty in arrival too at DB.
If I didn't have a half-dismantled house to attend to, I'd have been very tempted to come along.

Now the evenings are getting lighter I could be persuaded out for a ride. I refuse to ride slowly up and down the Belmont road in first gear with a fart noisy exhaust like a lot of people I've seen hanging out at Rivvi though. wink

Ps. Male, 36, NSOH.

I may have gone along that road a bit quicker than is strictly legal this evening whistle

No idea who's coming on this anymore as like most of these things, it falls into disarray as the day draws near. So, I'm going to be at the Bottom Barn at Rivvy from 8.15 tomorrow until about 8.40 at the latest. If anyone's coming meet me there, if not I'll have a nice solo run.

I'll check the thread in the morning too, but probably offline now for a while.

I suspect that a lot of people have family commitments. The number of rides and track days you manage to do suggests that you don't have this.

Anyway, mass-participation rides aren't always a good thing.

I intend to meet up with you at some point. Did you go up to Southport? Which way did you head? The back roads are infinitely better than the main roads over that way.

Went to Southport and had a good run, few twisties and Croston bends as it's compulsory.

Theyre ixon. All sizes and colours are in a sale at jordan bikes in leeds for £380 at the moment. Theyre really comfortable and going by the amount of money they have to throw at moto gp riders im hoping they know what ther doing and these last a while. These feel like decent quality anyway.

ill definitly be there at 10. Coming in from huddersfield through keighley and skipton way. t

Well I'm home and a couple of beers in, was a good days out, did more miles today than I have in the previous 18 months, rusty as hell but had a safe rideout.

Nice to see some new faces, weather was great although I did regret the summer gloves early this morning.

pic at our usual fuel stop, I was the handsome bd holding the camera.

Back and feeling pretty broken. Great ride and awesome roads. The only shame was the ride home back from devils bridge. Constant flow of cars interrupted by indecisive bikers.
My poor hornet took a bit of a thrashing today.

Sounds like you had a good day out.

I much preferred a day of DIY, of course.
