One of the places they all had to wait for me laugh. These were some seriously good riders, Not only fast but safe aswell. I hope I can ride like you guys soon. I think I learnt a lot in just one day and the roads where brilliant!
Stop stressing about the waiting, we always do and it meant that you did the right thing and rode your own ride.

You're welcome to come on shorter more local rides to practice anytime.

I also often go up to a road inbetween oldham and huddersfield just outside delph if you ever want an evening ride. Its no where near as good as todays roads but its quiet you can learn a lot and its got a lot of awkward horrible corners so good to practice on at a steady pace. Its also good just to get away from wives/kids just for a chin wag. Theres always a handfull of bikers up there.

Plenty more chances this summer.

Everyone should try to come one ride as it's a good laugh as well as the riding.

Yep we did one ride at the end of September last year, before that it was the year before on your R1. We've caught up more in cars than bikes recently.
I did July last year with Tight5 then the sept one and the car one at the end of Dec.

Sounds good, I mostly ride in the saddleworth area anyway. Only free weekends though.

Do you ever do the greenfield to holmfirth road?

Is that now 50mph all of the way? I like that little road which runs past Digley reservoir and then over Holme Moss.
I know it starts off at 50mph but pretty sure it goes to NSL... Not 100% though. Yeh there is the odd good road that way.

Right I've got a track query especially for you more experienced guys that came on the ride out.

I've done one day last year at oulton in novices where I had some instruction who basically told me to stop being a pussy and move up to inters. I told him it was my first day and didn't want to be getting in people's way and I didn't feel particularly confident passing people as it's not something I usually do on quiet roads. Anyway inters was full so I spent the day mildly frustrated by passing people who were taking bizarre lines or looking back all the time.

Now I booked Caldwell in the middle of winter when I hadn't ridden in months so confidence was low and I stupidly booked novices again. Should I ring to move up to inters before hand or try my luck and see how I go there in session 1 then see if there's space to move up

I don't want to be the idiot that thinks he's faster than he is and gets in people's way, but I also don't want to be the guy that looks like he's trying to stay in the lower group to pass people.

Basically should I man up or is the jump from the top of novices to the bottom of inters quite big?

Can't answer that for you as I have never done a bike TD, BN or Loon are the ones to ask, I'm guessing Loon will be driving home from Anglesey at the minute, and I think BN was out wobbling around somewhere today.
