Totally agree but I'm not exactly short of good roads in Northumberland, not far up to Scotland either. I'd jump at 120 mile stint just to get to the meeting point if I lived in one of the st parts of the country. Not ruling myself out either mind, though tbh as a new rider I'm probably not up to speed for a decently paced group ride, need to get a few more miles under my belt, but I reckon I'd be up for some meets next year.
I wouldn't worry about the pace you won't have a problem. I was a bit worried going on a 40hp enduro bike but had no problem keeping up. Get yourself to one of the meets as you'll enjoy it.

You'll get plenty of overtaking practise.

I'll be up for a brew, bit of banter & some nice roads & I'll try & drag Rich along on his Tuono, to sample all the filling stations in the area wink
You're not joking. I've got a video from last year where I think I overtook 12 bikes round the right hander into Deers Leap.

Same roads as we did in the cars over New Year so good fun on the bikes.

I will be up for a ride at some point. Need to get a recall and MOT done ive got a feeling it runs out very soon.

Its probably a bit far up there for me at the moment + will need to gain some good boy points for a full day out.

Where abouts is everyone based ?
A bit far? You tart! It'll do you some good, a proper 250+ mile ride. fk nipping to the local cafe for a brew and homebiggrin

I live in Northwich so i think it would be up the A556 for a couple of miles onto the M6. Although ive not looked at a map so there might be a ok way up on A roads.

I am sure the roads will be much better when they are not under water! Will still look out for Postman Pratt though wink

Does Biker's Nemesis ride with the NW group? I'm oover his way, and there doesn't seem to be a NE group, but when I looked up where Devil's Bridge is, 120 miles to get to the meeting point seems a bit much :/
120miles is just a warm up on a day's ride isn't it?

It's worth it anyway, see you there later in the year thumbup

So when is the first meet? I'm hoping to get out this weekend if the weather holds up.

Not yet I suspect... it's still pretty cold and apparently some rain due at the weekend.
