IMHO get out of the novice group ASAP would be my advice so it you've done Inters before and found the pace ok then stick with it ... You'll learn more in Inters than you ever will as a Novice.

Lines and braking are much more consistent for starters and some at the back of Inters are going at Novice pace at times ...

Go into Inters. Then get out of it and into Fast as quickly as you can. The lines inInters remain as bad as Novice, but done at a higher speed.

Get out of Novice though you're taking the piss in that group based on your riding yesterday

Never been in inters the instructor tried to push me up but the groups were packed apparently.

It's the whole unknown at how much faster each group is.

I'll ring Tuesday to try bump into inters and see how I go. I've got Anglesey booked in May for inters aswell so hopefully they'll both give me some confidence and more experience.

Forgot to say. The speed differentials vary. I did my first Inters at Oulton and couldn't handle it. Two days later I did Donny and ran up at the front, which gave me the confidence to keep going. Turns out that Oulton was the week before a race meeting, so was a skewed group.

Ha he did seem quite taken back by my leathers. Im in the process of getting married and choosing a women seems to be a stupid idea, all the choices and pointless expense. A gay wedding will surely be two guys going down the local, high fiving then going to spa for a trackday honeymoon? Maybe ive just not been around that many gay men.

If it was an empty track i would feel much more confident, i know ive got ok speed on the road. Its the whole passing other riders or being in such close proximity of others that isnt something that happens on the road and generally only being on one track day at a different circuit its hard to know where to put myself.

Overtaking isn't about stuffing it up the inside. There is often a wide speed difference so overtaking is easy.
