Loon, what did Legz say to us at Hartside?
Two things. Firstly that he's glad he didn't meet us two nutters on the road today hehe

Secondly that something happened but he couldn't tell us about it and will write it on here later. confused normally the other way round.

Oh and I think it was a Blue X5 that nearly hit me head on when he decided to take my side of the road through a corner.

I kept calm and did what I did all without a bikesafe course under my belt.
You can be my wingman anytime.

I work with a few lads from Morpeth who use "mort" instead of "burd" or "lass" all the time, if you travel as far south as Crammy then no one knows "mort". See also "bari", another word from Morpeth micro-dialect.

Must be the first meet no one took any pics of. That's the only reason I wore my sexy one piece grumpy

It's not really suited to the road is it.
It's bloody BRUTAL!!!

Suspension is too hard

It pulls like a fit bird on a night out

Brakes are sublime (I'm ordering an RCS come pay day)

But it's barely legal... Kept looking for non existent mirrors and indicators

biggrin cheers John biggrin

Forgot to say that it was an interesting day as usual

  • the immediate aftermath of a head on bike vs car crash. Bike's fault.
Happened just as we arrived - lads leading the group were thankful the Golf took the impact rather than them. The rider went some height on impact and looked dead when he landed.

10 minutes later he's walking to the air ambulance saying he doesn't know what happend - one of out gang saw exactly what happened and agrees with your prognosis wink

Ignore the comment in the cafe - just pissing up your back and bigging up your PH egos wink

We did Durham, Keilder, Longtown (where I ran out of fuel on the A7 in the middle of nowhere...) Brampton, Hartside then back via Heham and Castleside - some quick lads out in the group (and eye opening pace in places) and not an easy task to keep pace.

Long day - out for 0930, back home 2030.

I'll make time for a bit of craic next time.

Never a good thing to run out (and pisses off the rest of the group) but to be fair I wasn't the only one close to it - that's the problem around the Borders / Keilder area with so few garages (and the occasional garage only selling red diesel !).

I knew these V4's were thirsty but less than 90 miles with an 18.5 litre tank is abysmal - 25 miles to bone dry from light on isn't too bad unless the garage is 30 miles away...

HI fellas, saw your activities having registered on here and have made contact and received a very welcoming response from Simon - LoonR1,so thanks for that and the very best of luck tomorrow racing at Doni - may yet manage to pop down and see a bit ,say Hi, but had promised to help a mate at Darley Moor,so maybe not,but seems like I'm in same neck of woods as YAZZA and hope to join on one of your rides out soon - as I told Simon,am very regularly out in same areas/roads as you guys with a few other assorted lads, just not at the same time !! So, as and when ,hope to meet you all soon - cheers,Graham.

You're more than welcome and it's always great to meet more from here. Especially those that know the ultimate late 70s NYC venue.
