I'd be prepared for rain if I were you it's most likely going to rain at some point.

That's why I suggested motorway yazza, there's nothing of any note and using the motorway we can be in wales in less than an hour from Manchester.

Fair point it's a fair compromise to get there and crack on quicker as there are some cracking roads

Anyone who may fancy it feel free to email me with a mob number, might be one we have to decide on early morn

Forecast just looks like showers here and there. We'll probably get wet but nothing drastic.

Ponderosa (Llangollen) is a handy brew/take a leak spot, and feeds you into some good roads, if you have time I'd suggest heading to Bala via A5104/A5/A494, then A4212 round the back of Bala heading for Ffestiniog, then take a right onto the B4391 over the top, great run and usually fairly quiet. You'll eventually hit Ffestiniog so you can either A470 it back north to Betws y coed or go left and pick up A4212 again, back to Bala, as that run is pretty entertaining if its clear. Bala offers a few reasonable rest stops too of course. Failing that you can play around Denbigh moors, all the roads up there are decent really and if time is tight you can nip back to the A55 and slip home quietly biggrin

I'll be in the area tomorrow but probably on my old snotter Fazer600 as my mates a bit of a slow steady rider at the best of times tongue out

I'm afraid I've been to wales once and don't have a clue where I went.

I've just heard there is suppose to be some amazing roads.. But that's like saying there is some amazing roads in England, could be anywhere ha.

If you go and it's good can you post where you went?

I followed some of this route that I saw on a different forum earlier in the year some cracking roads .

Been on others to in the same area but tbh I have no idea where I went . Think Evo Barry said to me on a previous thread just go and get lost, tbh top advice you will struggle to find a bad road. The only bad point about the place is there are more Coppers than Petrol Stations.

Home now around 350 miles covered today. The day had ups and downs but don't think I'll make an effort to do that sort of run often. Way too many police and I wasn't best pleased about getting caught up in the other groups of bikes.

The next 14 days may drag.
