The MotoGP.com commentary was so dire that even though I had a mate at the house with the MultiScreen season pass, we put the BT coverage on the big screen.
The MotoGP.com MultiScreen did get some use though, with Live Timing screen, Helicam and 2 x onboard feeds, on various laptops around the TV, we didn't know where to look!
Three great races, and no real complaints about the commentary on BT. Yes, it's a shame Moody/Noyes/Mamola aren't there, but at least one familiar voice was.
I think it will be interesting to see how Rossi shapes up for the rest of the season, he was second in the Qatar race last year too, and that wasn't really representative of his season's results.

Miller and Marquez ..... How many times are we going to hear that for the next few years. Great from McPhee, bit dissapointed with Kent though.
Moto2 had no real surprises. Great first ride from Lowes as highest rookie I think.

k about the commentary when the racing's that good) we watched MotoGP.com and they make plenty of mistakes, but better than having to sit thought the painful Sykes/Toseland parts - we have to watch online, so on demand videos which BT Sport don't have are our only way. Missed the Ryder/Heuwen first race back, but don't care when racing is that good.
Smith, brilliant. Well done. Trying to catch the front group, perhaps should have just resigned for 5th, but gotta love a tryer. Surprised not to see more naysayers saying " told ya so, knew he'd fall off etc etc "
Crutchlow, so much hate on the forum for him. Why is it that because he gets a factory ride, then has a malfunctioning bike and gets pissed about it does everyone dislike him. Ever since he went to Ducati there's this sense that he should have stayed at Tech3 for pocket money salary, as he'd have a better chance of winning. We hate someones who successful and British, it's a national disease.
A satellite bike hasn't won a MotoGP since 2006. 8yrs, 100+ GP's in all weathers and still everyone thinks he went for the money only and should now shut his face, smile sweetly and accept any misfortune with good grace and a stiff upper lip. Tally ho blah blah blah ...
It's not the attitude that got him where he is and it's not what he's ever been like. Has everyone always harbour this dislike for him or is it just because he's now a factory rider with a good salary?
Lorenzo, petulant, but normally that means fast. Must be spitting feathers, but perhaps that petulance was reflected in how he attacked the first lap and maybe that's what cost him, although in fairness his first laps of last year were very special.
Rossi looked great, but Marquez looked even more comfortable. I agree with previous comments that perhaps we need to wait for a few more rounds as all the "Rossi's back" comments were used last year after Losail and he wasn't really. I'm more confident this year though.
But .... Marquez. The only factory rider on the hard tyre, in the lowest grip conditions we have all year, with a recently broken leg, having missed 2 of 3 pre season tests .... Just think how dominant he was at Austin last year (very jealous of recent photos in this thread), so for me the real measure of Rossi's return will come quickly.
I think Espagaro blew his best chance of the season, Losail is tough on fuel where he had an advantage. Should have started higher up grid, but cracked in qually and now I think the factory order will become more dominant going forwards.

Highest Rookie was one Maverick Vinales, who also set the fastest lap......

Interesting that they have put up highlights for everyone before ITV can air their broadcast. Potentially a good move to encourage future subscribers to adopt for the complete package. what a great advert for the sport, thought the weekends package as a whole was excellent, well done BT.

I cannot understand the obsession with the commentators either. I thought the BT coverage was excellent but with so much time to fill I think they need to be mindful that on race day the riders are focused on the actual race. If they're not careful they might find a lot more pit shutters closed and riders with helmets on, especially if things are not going to plank about the commentary when the racing's that good) we watched MotoGP.com and they make plenty of mistakes, but better than having to sit thought the painful Sykes/Toseland parts - we have to watch online, so on demand videos which BT Sport don't have are our only way. I also agree that as it was the opening round Bradley was spot on going for it. Depending on how things pan out later in the season is the time to be more strategic.

Only 8mins of MotoGP highlights though, I hope ITV4 has more than that in a 1hr program 
The trouble with pay per view is that it reduces the amount of people that watch the sport, what ever sport that may be. MotoGP obviously want to make as much ££££ as possible and a certain amount of people will pay a certain amount of money to watch it. But there are plenty of people that are interested in it, but no enough to stump up what ever it costs on pay per view. They have lost these people.
My view is that sports are getting too greedy and while it will have a short term gain, long term you won't get so many new viewers/fans watching your sport because the highlights of your sport is no longer on the 10 O'Clock news because it's too expensive.
The more coverage a sport gets the better because they can charge the advertisers more.
