He looks exactly like how I expected him to look like.

Judging by the chicken strip on his front tyre he's never cranked a bike over properly in his life, ran out of balls not bikes cornering ability.

I'd imagine the police said put an article on ITV and use it for public awareness and we won't do you for dangerous driving.

I've seen that corner catch many people out in fairness, it draws you in and then tightens up and if you do go in hot you then have to stop the bike for a pretty tight right hander straight away, so I can see *how* he's got himself in trouble here. His riding is entirely at fault though, not the road, as he/Granada seem to infer!

What seems odd to me is how far to the left he is on the entry, this in itself seems likely to make him run ride. I think just as he realised he was going to run wide on the exit he saw the oncoming car and tensed up, possibly using the brakes, and this led to him being totally upright but heading towards the car.

In theory he probably could have tightened the line and passed the car on the left. Mind you he had almost passed the car on it's nearside when he hit the fence so perhaps he should have turned left at that point and got back onto the road. That would have been worth seeing.

fair enough, with and entry that close to the wall though your are fked if it tightens

i could understand if it was a stretch of road you know well hugging it that close but he doesnt seem like he knows it at all

Don't get me wrong, I'm not justifying his riding in the slightest, its appalling on several levels, and it turns out he's a local (Knutsford) so he should know better! His lines were simply wrong on most corners, his observation and planning are next to none existant and his right hand seems to operate independantly to everything else.. No wonder he's been put off riding, he must be wondering what he did wrong!? :/

That's what I was thinking, should have been taking a wider line to maximise his view of the road ahead.

All roads should be straightened!

Nobody should take responsibility for their own actions!

...the reason the guy was there was because it is an interesting road.

He wasn't hooning along Deansgate.

his tailgating of the bike in front is shocking

i think it was just a case of him wanting to be a straight line hero.

I wonder why the road has such draconian speed limit enforcement? We all make mistakes, but he was riding like an idiot.

Precisely, man goes to a fun road (read: dangerous oh noes), gets carried away and falls off, blames the road.

How sad to have that little riding ability and be deluded to the point he thinks his exploits are worth filming.

Should be f@cking embarrassed. It hard tightens up & could have easily made the corner.

The news article shows a close up of the tyre, and its clear by the amount of tyre unused around the edge that he is a straight line kn@b.

A number of years ago I had access to a similar video of a rider. I was told it would end badly. The alarming point was that there were so many horrible moments I watched the whole thing completely tense just waiting for it to happen - every corner pretty much. Eerie when the crash happened and the camera was still recording the silence, upside down on top of the dead rider. He was travelling below the speed limit too...
