It's a bit of fun really Scott - the JPS Nortons are probably a bit before your time, but as a kid they made a pretty big impact on the racing scene.
Tony - I can't help myself - I can't resist the shiny shiny, hence getting rid of most of the matt panels on it.
Can you get the honda sticker in gold?Tony - I can't help myself - I can't resist the shiny shiny, hence getting rid of most of the matt panels on it.

Haha - there's a lot going on there. What I like is that you can buy the every genuine panel and mudguard to completely change the colour for £190 brand new, or about £150 imported direct from Thailand.
Ohlins inserts I can understand, but BSTs? It already falls on its side if you sneeze! What's the thinking behind that, or is it just for bling factor?

1) I like how they look, I’m never selling the bike so I want to make it my own.
2) I’m doing a lot of Trackdays on it now and I’m curious to see how it goes with these.
3) Mr Harwood of bike hps is a really good sales man
I’m really tempted by the finbro 200cc 4v head engine conversion.
I did look at turbo kits, but they’re all a bit overkill and real world they all seem to suffer with heat management issues from what I read.

I've read that heat management is the main issue with the big bore kits as it's air cooled and just lacking in metal to act as heat sinks. If I go that way, it will likely just be a 140cc kit and oil cooler combo.
Have you done anything with the brakes? At the moment, I'm avoiding brake upgrades as it'll just highlight the softness of the forks, but some better pads would be nice.
Post some pics with the new wheels when they come!

Bit of an update. I've finished the cosmetic mods that I plan. Performance wise, I've just done the airbox mod and put in a K&N. Future work will involve forks and some engine work, but only once I can convince my kids to take an interest and help.
Some photos.
I might have a Yoshi RS9 somewhere for that. Let me know if you're interested and I'll have a rummage. Some photos.

I saw a group of 4 or 5 out on their Groms at the weekend, none wearing L plates, between them and seeing yours, I have a hankering for one myself now, they do look very funky.
As long as you can get your head around a 9bhp mindset, then you'll enjoy. Tonnes of mods - you'd never get bored tinkering.3DP said:
Excellent! Where are you doing track days? Assume kart tracks? I'm keen to have a go at a kart track on it!

Yeah we’ve got 5 or 6 local car tracks that will let us use them. £25 for a day open pit lane. Yeah. Any engine work seems to need an oil cooler at least. So that’s on the list when I do the engine work. I’m setting aside about £3k so when I do it, I go the whole hog sort of thing.
I’d like to go 200cc there abouts. Not for speed but for torque as I’m not the smallest so I worry about it not pulling me out of the corners when fully committed. At the moment, it’s flat out and it’s wrestling with it to keep the engine buzzing. Then you start to worry about oil starvation as it’s only 800ml in there :/
Brakes, as yet not. Like you say the forks are awful so there’s no real point. But I’m going to go for a full galfer setup as it works out as about £75 for discs and pads.
