He said the right hand side of the front tyre was destroyed basically. Had been struggling with it all weekend.

anyone know what happened to Rossis bike?
Front tyre wear, same as Iannone and a few others who were trying to stay with the Hondas. Smith felt it early on and dropped back behind Pol and Crashista to manage it and was then quicker than those in front of him. Dovi also managed it, enabling him to jump clear of Bradl towards the end and keep the podium.

tah

hasn't the Ducati suffered with front end issues for as long as I can remember??

or is that just a bad 'feel' for the front end? which I suppose might equate to less tyre wear if you're afraid to push the front less than others, worked in its favour if so.

HRC really showed up the rest of the field - everyone has the same opportunities for preparation pre-race, and they were simply faster, more organised, and annihilated the rest to the point it was a boring 'race', with everyone basically fighting for the last place on the podium.

I hope the rest of the season does not repeat COTA's parody as that will be my BTSport subscription wasted!

It sounds as though the motogp.com online experience is better than BT: A few knowledgeable and even-toned commentators (ES-style: two in the box and one in the pits); choice of players with the option to have updates pop-up or appear at the side. All of the events and turns in each session are marked on the progress bar so you can easily jump back and rewatch things. No downtime, as yet.
Not for me, I think BT are doing a pretty good job. Getting Spies in the box with Huewen and Ryder was a master stroke, along with Schwantz for qualifying.

I'm enjoying BT apart from Huewen. He seems to have lost it

Yeah I do love the BT package they do, I just wished that they split the program into the 3 separate races, though it does make it easier to record them all, must sort out that cable.

"Lorenzo blames mosquitoes for jump start." - http://www.autosport.com/news/report.php/id/113442

Those pesky mosquitoes, they're always doing that. Flying in front of rider's visors and blocking out the big bright red lights, I hear it's a big problem in Texas.

Yep, while I was annoyed at first that it had gone to BT, they have redeemed themselves with quality coverage. Would be great if they continue to get ex riders involved in the commentary.

"When I saw the red light [come on], I thought it was the race start so I released the clutch and I made a jump-start.

i'm sure the red light was on way before he made his launch confused it is possible he made a veeeery 'slow' start after seeing red hehe

Nope, just looks like a silly mistake. Red light comes on and he is off.

No worse than calling your teacher mum when you was at school.

They can improve the presenters next season by getting azi and moody, job done.

I'm sure a PH BBer would have been able to win on it though.

Me, I could I'm a DAS rider with my own leathers and I only ride in fair weather, or maybe not as I doubt me and Lincsblokey will even finish our race in May.

No way Loon. There is only one rider in here with the correct riding skills and qualifications to safely bring that baby home in one piece...my vote goes to Nigel Worc's yes
