I think I should start this post by saying that I must have developed a problem. I've just agreed the purchase of 2 bikes and am about to pull the trigger on a third.

Having only had one at a time in the past, I only have NCB for one bike.

All bikes are (or will be) slightly and tastefully modified.

Who's the choice broker to use? I ask as all the insurers on the comparison sites seem to dislike bikes with mods...even silly things such as hid lights.

Most bikes out there seem to have modifications of one sort or another. Do people just not declare them and fingers crossed they get away with it?!

Ash - do you do multibike quotes for non-modified bikes too?

Hi Vard,

We certainly do. Drop me DM with a contact number and convenient time, I'll arrange for someone to give you a call and discuss.

Thanks,

I have 3 slightly modified bikes (GSXR750, Ducati 996S and ZZR1400) on a multi-bike policy from Carole Nash. MCD were also good for this although messed me up when inexplicably refusing to include my DRZ400 on a multibike policy one year at renewal time.

I have all the bikes and cars on one fleet policy, they changed it this year to accommodate individual NCB on each vehicle. All my bikes are modified...some of the cars too

Pace Ward are the broker, its a Chaucer family fleet policy

I did use a comparison site this year and could have saved a couple of hundred quid total, if I went with the cheapest no frills policy on each vehicle with 6 different insurers ...however this policy has all the pillion/leathers/legal/breakdown/personal accident cover built in and its convenient to just have 1 insurance in the household to renew each year

I added my CB1000R (for a short time)to the Sprint ST1050 insurance on a multi bike policy with Hastings.
Very reasonable but neither was modified but worth asking them I'd say.

I managed to get a good multi-bike price yesterday for my two modified sportsbikes from Principal Insurance.

Over £200 cheaper than Carole Nash wanted from me this year, which is a shame as I have been with CN for a long time and had decent prices from them in the past.

Definitely worth a call.
