Sports car to Bike
Discussion
I did this the other way round, sold my GSXR750 for a DC5 Integra. Brilliant car, and probably the best car I will ever own. I bought a Honda C90 in November with the intention of using it as a cheap tourer in the summer, but whenever the weather has been nice I've been on the '90 rather than in the 'teg.
Cars and bikes are too different to compare, but any bike is better than no bike at all! So do whichever test gets you on a bike for the summer.

As others have said, bikes are great fun. Any bike. I still remember the first time I hit 50 on a bike (during my Direct Access training), it was such a rush because the sense of speed on a bike is totally different to being in a car. So it's not about absolute top speed and acceleration. Just taking a 40mph corner at steady speed on a bike is satisfying in a way it could never be in a car. And every ride I have is an occasion to be savoured (I don't commute any more on a bike, though I'm thinking about it again as the roads are so congested, cars have become a pain). I love the fact you can't be day dreaming or thinking about work on a bike, you are just present in the moment, focusing on the road and traffic and your riding. Very zen!
In the last few years top sports cars have gotten close to bike performance, but only the very best and crazily expensive supercars. Those aside, most even modest bikes accelerate faster than even most 'proper' sports cars, and with traffic volumes as they are and speed cameras everywhere you can't use that performance anyway. I've just bought a Porsche 911 (993 C4 coupe, manual) as I always wanted one, and can now in midlife afford it. I also have a Ducati 996, with Termis, slipper clutch, upgraded suspension. The 911 is no contest in performance terms (they are both about the same age), and I had to add louder mufflers to the 911 to inject a bit more mechanical assault on the senses into the drive. I love the Porsche of course, it's the most bike-like of cars, and as last of the air cooled cars stills has the mechanical connected to the road feel of older sports cars. And I can take the kids in the back.
But for pure thrills and feel good factor you just can't beat a bike. If I had to choose, I would have a boring daily driver and a bike for fun. No question.

Take no notice, people saying a 125 is more sporty than a 125 are talking rubbish.
A 125 is fun and a shock to the system if you are new to biking, that's it.
A DC5 is a fantastic car, and a totally different experience to a motorbike.
They are both great in there own right.
For me, I bike everyday, I get bored of bikes. Driving my cooper s at the weekend, which is much slower is my fun time.

Thanks for the replies.. I'm gonna book the 6 day course and go for the a2 license. I don't think a 125 would keep me entertained for 2 years so I won't be waiting for direct access.
Regards to the bike, an unrestricted aprilia rs125 sounds fun but the reliability concerns me. Don't want to be rebuilding the engine all the time
What about gear choices? I'm thinking of going full alpine star / dainese despite the price as I value my limbs..
Lastly integra performance or sports car w.e you wanna call it just wanted a decent topic title!!
