Anyone know which circuit layout they are going to use?

I remember them shortening the straight a bit in the 80's following Elio de Angelis F1 testing accident but the bikes have always struggled with the first left as that side's had chance to cool down as it's not used for an age on the old layout.

I think it's the same layout as WSBK use, isn't it?

Didn't think WSBK had ever been to Paul Ricard Le Castellet?

I was there a few times in the 90s fantastic, camped in St Cyr on the beach mad ride up and down to the track. Last time we went we got a hotel in Bandol had a great time swimming in the morning up and down to the track on that crazy road. Phase one was the team we followed, Simon Buckmaster had his bad crash there I think. Great ride down great ride home especially south of St Etienne. We got two MCN reporters p*ssed on the Sat night and they missed the new Blade on display on the Sunday. Def going back next year prob is I now have 70 more BHP !

Went in 87 , those pictures brought back some memories. Planning to go this year, possibly on the old 89 GSXR11 but probably on the TL1000R.
The GSXR750H I went on in 87 died shortly afterwards in a head on with a car ( hedge had grown, road wasn't as clear as I thought).
Its replacement 750J got nicked in 1991, still have the 11K I got in 91 to replace it.

Bike magazine are apparently negotiating a ferry deal for the crossing for those that are interested in attending the Bol.

I was there the year the marshall got killed in the early hours, was that '89 or '91?

Remember I woke up because it had suddenly gone quiet. Then the field piled down the Mistral straight and I went back to sleep. Some nuts "entertainment" from the French earlier in the evening, with Iron Maiden headlining the gig.

I can remember racing down there on my Z1, my Piper 4-1 wailing most of the way, and camping at Paul Ricard; it was around 83-84-85 memory is a bit hazy on that as no photos and spent most of the meeting p i s s e d !!
I can remember struggling like mad to pitch our tents; we ended up hammering screwdrivers into the ground to make a peg hole; have always taken with an old screwdriver and hammer camping with me since; not for nothing we re named it 'Circuit Paul Rock Hard'

Happy day's; much madness everywhere on in and around the circuit!!

Sorry about the late reply, I think it must have been 1991
