Heyup,

We're planning a trip to BSB on Bank Holiday monday in a couple of weeks time.

Anyone who's been before shed some light on how long to allow to get into the venue (in a car)?

We're only travelling from Manchester but just wondering about the usual queue time once near the venue.

Any help would be appreciated!

Rick.

It's a mere when something big is on depending on what time you get there. Even worse getting out.

I will have a bash on Google maps and show you the best way in.

If you go into the track via the farm entrance down by foulstons turn/hill top you miss a lot of traffic especially when leaving.

Just had a look on google maps and the roads called dogmore lane, however you'd have to come down the m6 further south then double back

It's a pain getting in as all the bikers filter through! Getting out is a nightmare, although waiting to the end means you get to drive down Clay Hill the wrong way to use the exit mentioned above.

Last year i parked down by foulsons and left as soon as the last race ended, i drove straight out with no delays.

I didn't go down clay hill as we were parked right by the marshall post at hilltop so just turned around and drove out thru the farm yard.

Not sure it's a good option though if your heading up north though , ideal if your heading to midlands or west country.

Randomly scoot around a few country lanes and follow your nose, you'll hit the M56 or M62 eventually.

Only way to get in and out clean is to get in stupid early and bolt before the races finish. Or sit there with a coffee until the main rush dies off. Police will no doubt manage traffic to "help" flow and there's no quick way once thousands of cars want to go down one or two lanes. I live close enough that I'm tempted to cycle in for a change..

This is the best way i go to miss the traffic.

No road signs going this way and they are some cow st filled back lanes but it will save shed loads of time.

Your wrong, avoid the main entrance, avoid the knickerbrook entrance and use the shaw's entrance right down by hill top/brittens area and you avoid all the traffic, it is a bit of a trek up to the startline though.

Correct although tbf it's not oftern they even use that entrance hence why most people have no idea it exists.

Barry's got the best idea going direct on a push iron.

I actually live in Winsford so your route (shrew) is ideal for cycling actually, and I could use the bike to get around the infield while I'm there of course. All that said, I might have a mate coming up the day before so he'll want us to go on the motorbikes anyway, so I'll just have to suffer the traffic like the rest of the sheep frown

Also, my "advice" earlier was to anyone that wasn't familiar with the various entrances, so rather than them getting lost trying to find these lanes/entrances I was merely suggesting they get up early and try to beat the rush the traditional way is all..
