That double highside from Doohan and Chili was incredible eek

Those bikes look ridiculously hard to ride, it's like they're always on a knife edge

Synchronised highsides. Ouch. And yes, they truly were evil bds who only thought of attempting to kill you...

That's my Friday night viewing when I get hime for the weekend. Loved those years and the bikes were just unbelievably impossible to ride.

Really enjoyed this; 2 strokes, highsides, hard bds and fag packet paintjobs...proper! Given the ending it looks like there will be a part 3 covering the Doohan years too, keep 'em coming ITV4!!

Excellent show featuring excellent bikes with excellent riders in excellent times.
A shade less "corporate" mentality around then-though not as little as in the 60s/70s wink

That was great. It is surpising how uncomfortable wincing becomes after 40 minutes.

Rainey is a true legend - real formative years stuff. I was eight when he won his first title, so he was practically a superhero to me.

Fantastic program .. enjoyed it.

Can't believe road bikes now have more power than those GP bikes.

Ah but it's spread through a 15k rev range not delivered in one big dollop between 13000 and 13500 rpm.

And a road bike doesn't weigh 120kg wet.

Funny - I was thinking what would Mr Rainey say if he rode my HP4 ..

Probably how heavy it is smile
