I've done the 4C8 shock as well smile

-1T on front needs speedo healer as although throws the speedo out 6.6% only in standard they are already 8.9% out so after the speedo is over 15% out!

QS and Brembo RCS are next smile
Mine was 11.6% out,but have a speedo healer now.my QS is a dynojet..and to the other poster it is smooth going through the gears..

Quick shifters only seem to bugger gear boxes on race bikes or bikes that are used hard so Fleegle and OCD's bikes will be fine

Mines fine. I'm suspecting your prowess with anything technical is stopping you from having one fitted

BN will win when it comes to handbags. His handbag fetish makes Imelda Marcos's shoe habit look normal

No handbags here you pair if benders.

I base MY opinion on seeing what happened to Paul25's gearbox shortly after fitting one to his R1.

He told me that others with R1's have had the same problems once a QShas been fitted.

Different QS have had the same results, not to everyone who has had one fitted:

His new race bike has just developed a gear box fault not engaging gears on the way down the box.
Yes, it's an 07 R1

I do not need a QS because as everyone knows I am awsome enough without one

What QS's were being used? I was looking at using seamless... aka H&M

Dunno. All typed by all accounts.

Fit one it'll be ok and it won't make any difference to my life,

The valves will probably drop before the gearbox gives up.

Why? A quick shifter is only any use when you're pushing on or on track. You hardly go on track and rarely push on the road, especially as you like to make tyres last 10000 miles.

I agree with Loon. WTF is the point of a QS on the road? But then I don't even understand the need for screens etc

I've got a QS on my bike and it's great when bombing along on the road and awesome on track. It's crap at lower speeds and even worse if changing up and you're not wringing the bike for all it's worth.

Surely if it is crap at lower speeds you would just use the clutch and not use the QS?

You lot know how to piss on my chips don't you... tongue outbiggrin

(it was just an excuse to buy more st for the bike)
