Hi guys,

It's new helmet time. I was originally going to go for a Schuberth SR1, but I've just stumbled across the X-802R and I really like the look of it. Has anybody got/tried one? If so what do you think of it. I haven't been able to find any reviews of it anywhere yet.

Cheers.

Yip,

My mate Pat has one for racing and absolutely loves it.
I've tried it on and it's really light with great visibility. The interior is mega plush as well. Top lid IMHO.

Quality is fantastic. Love the Coolmax interior. Eyeglass detents in the lining for spectacle wearers. It may be my next lid after the XSpirit2 as it's comparable in quality and fit seems very similar.

Thinking about taking a chance on buying one of these online, without trying on first.

Are the sizes quite accurate, or do they fit tight/loose?

Had mine since Nov last year and love it. Long term Arai fanbooi here and I have not put my either of my Arai's on once since the Nolan arrived and have only worn my Schuberth on my Tuono for a long trip.

Size wise I am an old fashioned 59 and wear L in Arai and 59 in Schuberth. So yes the sizing is accurate but it is a tight fit to get on but once on its great.

Well after measuring my bonce about 20 times, I've ordered one off tinterweb.

Lets hope it fits, otherwise there'll be a medium size one for sale here soon wink

Did 250+ miles from early morning to mid afternoon, with the lid on mostly the other weekend with the NorthWest Leather clad manlovers and also had a good couple of hours the other evening & have to say the lids pretty comfortable, not 'quiet', but no worse than my Arai Quantumn/Corser.

Size wise, I'd say it's pretty much the same, but with a different fit and the flap that comes down under the chin is actually really nice. The interior has a different lining to the Arai and it seems to conform a bit more to my bonce.

As it's been fairly warm when I've used it, I've had the venting open quite a bit and it allows a good flow of air to cool you down. Would be surprised it the vents are all watertight when it's peeing down though, so it might not be a good winter lid.

Overall, so far I'm delighted.

Well it's a tad snug. A lot tighter fitting than my Shoei, but still feels a decent fit.

I guess (hope) it'll loosen up after wearing it a bit? Maybe I'll wear it to bed tonight.

I've just bought a 603. I've not used it yet as saving it for the Brno trip, but first impressions of it are well made and a good fit. Sizing is the same as the Arai's I normally use, although it has that new snugness about it. I'm hoping the wind noise is quieter than the current crop of Arai's

I did end up buying one of these and I love it. Great lid, maybe slightly tighter fitting than other brands.

Build quality seems top notch too, not a mark on mine after a year. I had a NEXX XR1R Carbon before this and it was covered in chips etc within a couple of months.
