Talk to Steve at Pragmasis. Their stuff is SERIOUSLY solid. The 19mm chain is Sold Secure Gold in all six categories, is RiDE Best Buy and Recommended and are the only Police-approved chains on the market.

Tell him I sent you. I've got his stuff at home and one of his ground anchors and a chain in the back of my race transporter. I reviewed some of their kit here:

Another vote for Pragmasis... Got two of them - superb kit and they are really helpful!

Pragmasis for the win

I use their 19mm chain, anti-pinch pin and Squire lock.

Small thread revival, because of this thread (and others like it), I've ordered about £300 worth of stuff from Pragmasis.

Eagerly awaiting my order!

Was going for the 19mm initially, but two things I've read kept me from it, so went for the 16mm for these reasons:
  1. Seems like the padlock for the 19mm is special order, and apparently none of the padlocks sold separately on their site can handle the 19mm chains
  2. The 19mm can't do "through chain locking", which is a handy trick to make full use of the length of the chain using an extra padlock
My order:
Removable "Double Doofer" Ground anchor
2m 16mm chain, with the squire padlock
Small disc lock/chain lock.

Good choice chap... I highly rate both of my 16mm chains smile

I've got the 19mm (and a 16mm) chain and it does to the "through chain" (the bit where the last link goes through the other end, right?).

Be aware OP that these chains are mental heavy. I decided to try taking the 19mm with me into town last weekend as I'm uber-paranoid these days and chain it to a lamppost. I'll not be trying that again - the only way to carry something on my bike is a rucksack and it was totally impractical. Need a lightweight solution.

I use the 16mm pragmasis, pin, anchor when at home

also really useful and good VFM is their "untouchable" disc lock, which is handy for reducing the chain and use as a padlock for travel. I take mine with me and use it as a disc lock as it fits real easy under the seat

No, the 16mm, with some cutting in the cloth, allows you to loop through the chain (in between links). The 19mm supposedly doesn't do that.
For lack of a better picture, it allows you to do this (you do nee two locks, obviously):

Haha I'm well aware.
I have an alarmed disk lock on the move (Detecto 8000), no chain though.
