Can anyone update me on what has happened with Spondon?

From what I gather, one of the partners recently passed away, and the other has retired, and Norton now own the company?

Are they still manufacturing frame kits?

Cheers,
Mick.

What a tosser! It would be a sad day if that's correct. Why would he do that? :/

But all is not totally lost...

I just found this

I've always wanted to build one, and I may have a chance to acquire just the right motor wink For me anyway.

That's criminal, literally. Can't express how pissed off I'd be if I'd put down a 12K deposit and the bike still hadn't appeared after 2 years.

maybe instead of going racing at the IOM. they should get their production line and order book in order first.

Jeez, not nice reading. I am no accountant but I am safely guessing that spreadsheet isn`t very good!

That story is two years old, the fact they're still producing and selling bikes would make me think they've sorted out their issues.

Or that they've managed to talk some gulible fool into lending them a wad of cash! Problems like those defined in the article tend not to get sorted quickly without some significant event and nothing significant has been reported in the last couple of years.

I'm not looking at buying a new Norton, but if I was, there's no way I'd hand over any money without getting something solid in return.
