I can ask at work for you tomorrow, we make some special edition cars in matte paint so I'll call in to press cars and see what they recommend
Great, cheers! I've read horror stories about using shampoo with wax in it makes the paint go shiny-I don't really fancy ruining the finish in the first week when I wash it!I've bought some Nanolex stuff for our matte bikes. Works like a charm. I've got the shampoo, cleaner and sealer.
I've just come back from an adjacent shop looking for the opposite - slimey silicon cleaner to put on the trials bikes plastics, helps stop the dirt sticking!!
Anyway, did notice Simonez do a wax free car shampoo - wondered what use that would be but makes sense now. Also seen aerosol matt finish dash cleaners.
I have at home a satin finish Armorol pump type can of cleaner that I use on the Superduke - also use it on the seat, cleans bugs etc nicely but not slippery - best applied onto a dishwashing sponge first rather than direct to the bodywork.

To save Fleegle posting, here's my suggestion
1.spray with a fine mist of petrol
2. Once soaked light a match
3. Throw in direction of scooter
4. Run.

That list is only missing about scraping it daily down the side of decent bikes as you force it into a space that isn't there.
