Calne bike day (meet) this Saturday.

Apparently it's the biggest annual meet in the UK! And it's FREE!!!!

Already going to an air show to see the Vulcan so no can do. Looks interesting though

It looks like a fairly mixed bunch to me.

It's been going for years now so most of the problems have been ironed out - used to be Rotary Club but it got too big for them. You normally get a couple of thousand bikes of all ages and styles just parked up around the centre of town - usually loads of old air cooled RDs, KHs, Harleys of all sorts, old Brit's, modern sports bikes and plenty of "oddities". It's all free (including the bands in the town centre and later at the campsite) except the camping which isn't expensive. The pubs are open and contrary to popular belief the Calnies don't bite like they used to...
And it's not compulsory to have a hairy arse so even you smooth bikers are welcome...

Its quite good lots of variety around and some fairly unusual bikes, if you want a proper sit down eat though best look at pubs in the surrounding area, we used the black horse on the A4 going back towards Reading a couple of years ago which was decent and you can watch the bikes going past in and out of Calne

That Viper engined bike is absolutely mental, I can only wonder at how you ride that thing, the torque at the back wheel must be ridiculous.
