Can anyone recommend some gloves with good protection that fit well but aren't difficult to put on?
I just spent about 30 mins trying on a slightly poor selection but a selection nonetheless that were either marginally better than gardening gloves or a right pain to get on even if they did fit OK once on.
My four year old (worn out) wk Thomas branded gloves are much better than anything I've seen so far.
Budget £100

That said, any of the good brands, Alpinestars, Furygan, Spidi, Held etc should do a comfortable glove at this price. Perhaps you have unusually shaped hands?

Ive had 2 friends sell these on as the knuckle protector digs in to the back of their hands when riding..Like all riding kit, recommendations are useful but its always a case of see what fits you, not what fitted someone else, shop around..

An unbelievable bargain at that price. Much cheaper on amazon.de. These fit great and are some of the safest gloves available. They will cost you upwards of 100 quid in the UK.
The price seems to keep dropping for some reason.

Mine arrived last week. I feel confident promising my hands to anybody now, because there is no accident that could damage them in these! Comfy too, although my Alpinestars 365s are slightly comfier, but that might just be because they're broken in. http://www.amazon.de/Racer-21684-R-Safe-Handschuh-...

I'd probably need the 3XL size. I wonder if the price jumps up massively for that size? http://www.amazon.de/Racer-21684-R-Safe-Handschuh-...

These may just be the most protective motorcycle gloves I have ever come across.
The problem with gloves is that like most things motorcycle, different people prefer different things and gloves are probably one of the most personal items you can get in terms of kit, because the feeling and dexterity of your hands is an immediately noticeable/measurable quality.
I like my Spidi STR-2's, but I bought them from a friend who owned them for a couple of months before deciding he wanted something else, mainly because the Spidis were nipping his little finger on longer rides. I've noticed that the gloves do put a slight pressure on the inside of the little finger, though nothing that would put me off using them. Indeed, before I bought them I tried on a variety of brands at a bike shop and think the Spidis are as good as anything I tried that day, on par with the best for fit and feel. I suppose though, certain issues with gloves might not be immediately noticeable when you're just trying them on in a shop.
