My 27 year old 250 started 2nd kick tonight. Not been touched since December.

Not a single bit of fur on the connectors.....but then it gets cleaned 'dry'

I'm happy for you sweet cheeks wink

Most of the connectors have been A1 ... The ones that live inside the outer fairings had some light fur in a couple of them no doubt due to riding in wet and washing ... Easy to clean up and ACF50 will keep them that way in future.

The remaining plugs are for the coils with the white one being for AIS (I think... ) ...
Yep white one is the ais system, not on mine its been removed. smile

So... the bike is back together in one piece... with the new ignition coil loom. All electrical plugs have been cleaned and protected with ACF50, fully serviced with new plugs and filters and a new battery.

New loom installed carefully and fixed up behind the coils... the CIS coupler and loom has been run across the front of the engine to prevent interference from the coils and I've located the plug as close to the fairing as I can for ease of access should I need to do further testing. It avoids me having to rip the whole bike apart.

This morning - it started.

Bets are now on as to whether it starts tonight smile

I won't believe it's fixed till it's worked for at least six months.

Even when I traced my 14's running problem to the TPS & replaced it I still didn't believe it was fixed for months as I kept waiting for the fault to return.

ps off biggrin

I'm buying a brand new sensor tomorrow as we tested it straight away with me telling RAC what to do ... Anything more than that I'm throwing the bike at a garage.

Anyone recommended in North West?
