I'm not from Scotland, i was on a visit from Spain where I normally ride my bike.

Croft was ace by the way. Loved it. I WILL be back. Just had a look at some British superstock 1000 times, I think I need a kwak 😃

Haha, that's where he would've ended up if he did that again. If I wasn't so tired, I would have done that the first time he opened the side door.

He's just lucky it was his bike that fell out

Wish I could have gone. Had to go away with work instead frown

Are you there on the 12th? Should be good as I imagine a fair few of the Derby Phoenix lot will be there using it as practice.

Diamond were doing an offer not so long ago. £150 for a set. Don't know if it's still on. Might be worth a look.

What about Arrow? I think my mate has those on his 675R.

Or ProMach are pretty good, I have those on my R6.

I thought Croft was great, I was going to do a track day write up but I think people prefer other stuff.

Anyway, ill do one now

I got up at stupid o'clock

Me and Mackean left Falkirk at 4:40 AM, we were mean to leave at 4:30 but were delayed as Mackean stupidly positioned my bike right next to the side door so when I opened it the bloody thing fell out. tt

anyway, the drive down flew in, I think it helped when for the most of it Mackean was doing 100 along the motorway.

we got there at 7, the track sign on wasn't till 8:30. I was told it was to ensure we got a garage space as they go quick. I was a bit puzzled when I seen the vast empty spaces in the garages.

The first session I spent trying to remember what way the track went, the second on my lines, after feeling like the front was going to go I went to get my suspension setup by the guy that was there. He said we do this and that for the bsb and moto gp guys, worked on the front and done nothing to the rear and sent me out

the third I got too cocky and made a of it, I was told to take it slow and I never used tyre warmers that session so the bike felt like a new one going out.

I overtook another Daytona going into tower, thought "I can make this, sod it ill use the run off that looks easier" ran onto grass and down I went. Only damage was my pride, foot hanger and my ankle. Oh and an indicator. Had I known that there wasn't really great deal of run off id have made the corner. The wet grass never gave much traction.

I got the Pope mobile back to the empty garages, everyone was watching and i felt like a tit stood on the back of a flatbed getting driven about.

I went then in the search for a foot rest as id snapped mines in two. Some kind guy gave me a loan of one, It took me ages to fit it, after 9 hours without foot and lack of sleep I was fked. after some food I was fine, I forgot to eat as I normally do when im having fun.

fourth session was good, took my bike back to the suspension guy he turned the front one more time and then said that was it. I did ask about the rear as it felt a bit high and stiff, he said it was fine. I knew my method of having a fag and turning it till it looks alright and the dirty side of the spring is hidden again was the way to go. Best £45 ive ever spent.

when I went back out I loved it, I managed a 1m45s, its a bit of a st time around there but in my first 2 sessions i was putting in 2 minute laps so I took a lot off. Mackean put in something stupid like a 1m27s lap. I did managed to get my left knee down for the first time a fair bit so now both my sliders are scuffed so that's something

I got a hold of an instructor at the end and had a few laps but cut it short as I was fked and hurting from my gay crash.

oh a whole though a great day, circuit was cracking. I didn't mind the bumps too much as im used to a bumpy track, the clark s section is great, the hairpin is fking horrible. Its in a lovely location at this time of the year

the drive back up the road was just a drive back up the road.

my ankle is all lovely and swollen and im a bit tender today but i had a lovely time

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hIJmK5gaCE here is a section of my day

on thing im asking santa for now is tyre warmers. Id never used them before, my God they are good. Even though i was on road tyres what a difference it makes. I didn't use them for half the sessions what with getting my bike setup, it just felt horrible without them being on before.
