Has anyone changed theirs? I have a Shoei XR-1100 in Medium, I always thought I had a pretty small head, physically at least, but I've been wearing it for a few thousand miles now and it isn't getting any looser and gives me a jaw ache quite quickly.

No shops round me stock cheek pads it would appear so I can't go anywhere for a swap and trial run. I've got 35mm pads in there at the minute and the next size down is 33mm then 31mm. This is the lowest size they do and as I have a pretty thin face so it seems strange for me to need the most accommodating size they do.

Has anyone moved down (or up?) a size, and would be able to give a rough idea of how much room a 2mm smaller pad creates? Currently my cheeks get squashed into my mouth to the point where if I started chewing I'd be eating myself from the inside. Don't really eat on the bike but shouting at pedestrians would be easier without this.

I have a slightly scuffed XR1100 which I'm not going to use again. It's size small. I could lend you the pads from that to try out if you wanted?

Standard pads in a Small are still 35mm, but thanks for the offer.

Helpful, cheers. I'll go for the 31mm pads. I'm sure they're supplied to be uncomfortable to cash in on accessories sales, unless my face is fatter than I think it is.
