London Bridge speed limit change
Discussion
Those of you who are regulars will know that the speed limit on London Bridge has recently been dropped to 20mph.
They are now doing "advisory" stops on vehicles to do a gentle enforcement, however, because of the limited space, they seem to be mostly targeting motorbikes! I was warned, and told that they'll be back with the speed guns very soon.
So look out, you lot!!

I'm not surprised they're stopping motorcyclists. I walk over LB regularly and they absolutely hammer the bikes over the bridge. They are now doing "advisory" stops on vehicles to do a gentle enforcement, however, because of the limited space, they seem to be mostly targeting motorbikes! Thanks for the headsup, I don't usually make use of London Bridge but good to know.
We were discussing on here most recently about the City of London speed limit change to 20mph and in particular Southwalk Bridge which has a 20mph limit for the northern HALF the bridge and 30mph for the Southern part.
I use Southwalk bridge everyday.. I have been expecting some element of enforcement to occur but it really is such a lightly used bridge compared to all the others in central london.

Didn't know that, so at least there is some logic to it,
Not really, the cyclist clipped the central reservation and fell off into the path of an oncoming car. You might as well lower the speed limit on motorways because you get the occasional wally who somehow manages to get onto the wrong carriageway.Mr2Mike said:

They seem to congregate in swarms, particularly down the Embankment getting in everyone's way.
Who on earth thought that it was a good idea to put a bunch of slow bds in lycra at the front of the traffic lights (cycle boxes) and holding everyone else up? It's nuts.
