Bautista probably rubber-necked Rossi's off and crashed when distracted.

Yeah, there's no point in having more than four bikes in MotoGP - the rest are wasting their time. Well, the top four + Redding, who according to astute supporters probably deserved a repsol bike at least three years ago. Also, he must be in line for a nobel prize by now.

If not a decent Honda then Redding deserves Smiths seat. yes
Purleeez don't say he's gonna miss out on a top [ish] slot through bad timing. yikes
What, the top Yamaha qualifier Smith ?

Amazing how so many people are taken in by Marquez, the Honda is significantly better than the Yam or Duke, MM is capable of using this, yes, plus Pedrobot is simply not Champion material, just Spanish, but if you watched him in Moto2, he is not as good as people make out. He needed a dodgy deal with Suter to keep others (the vastly weight disadvantaged Redding being one) from the chatter curing swingarm he had.

Clearly it's better. Miles better. When both Rossi and Lorenzo said that the Honda has a tiny advantage and that MM would be doing the same thing on a Yamaha they clearly had also been taken in by the myth. I mean, it's not like they actually know anything about the bikes...

Most ? The Yam is meant to be better at mid corner, poorer everywhere else. HRC and their budgets dwarf their rivals, always have AFAIK, now they have a really good rider who can make the most of the advantage. IMO Rossi and Jorge are better riders in many respects, MM has an attractive daredevil recklessness that to me just highlights what the bike is capable of. Either of the 2 factory Yam riders would finish ahead of him over a season. Jorge´s robotic precision and Valentino´s utter mastery of the limit and the "poetry of the line" mark them out as better riders.

Pedrobot is there due to his being Spanish, in a Spanish run series, sponsored by the Spanish petrol Co Repsol. He was fast on a 250, but the dwarf´s advantage on a light low powered bike is gone and his game is shown up, he can be fast at times, but never has been consistently over a season, and has no balls for a fight.

Earlier in the season both Yamaha riders (or was it just Rossi?) said that Marquez would still be winning everything even on the Yamaha. The gap between the bikes is being greatly exaggerated by some.

Can you not understand that pedrosa isn't employed to win championships he's there to take 2nd or 3rd position of the yams.

Ped robot has won a lot of races, most successful no wc winner there has been. If it wasn't for injuries I'm sure he'd have won one. I'd hardly call him a no hoper. This year hasn't been great though.

Marquez is a talent, best bike or not. You don't start last on the grid in moto 2 and be 3rd by the end of a lap just cos the bike is faster. No one is saying it's just the bike, you read peoples in the know and they say watching him, even back in m2 was unreal the speed he went into corners.

10 out of 10 is no mean feat

It's obvious it's not the just the bike because not in pedrosa, an experienced rider gets anywhere near him.

Marquez drifts are a joy to watch.

Redding has also stated he's not interested in riding a production bike next year, if that's all Honda can offer i think he will walk.

The gressini aprillia thing could be just him applying pressure to Honda but at present nothing is signed/confirmed that gressini will remain with Honda next year.
Where would be walk to? All the decent seats are sewn up.

I agree, looking at the way the bikes 'behave', I'd say that the Honda is still the bike to be on, it looks like it gets out of the corners a bit better still but Yam do seem to have found some power (well some speed anyway).

I'm a bit shocked that Rossi was so fast in FP4 and was then very close on time in QP after wrecking his first bike (and little finger). I know this is always said to be a Yam track but I'm sure they've found a bit extra these last few weeks and the Honda advantage is that bit smaller.

Anyone doubting MMs talent can't be watching the lad. I'm not talking about his record of wins, I'm talking about his style and commitment. He's a fantastic talent and I (a long term Rossi fan) am loving watching MM.

Exactly. The only thing that resembles a full factory bike is the Pramac ride and that is going to be a thankless task for at least the first half of next year as they are going to be stuck with the 2014 bike.

I'm with Egor on this. It's just posturing by Gresini in order to negotiate a better deal. Aprilia are going to buy up PBM's grid slots and as soon as the deal is done Gresini's bargaining chip disappears, so he needs to act fast.

Does anyone know whose contract Redding is with? I'm guessing it is with Gresini rather than HRC.

McPhee looked like he was going to kick Navaro around the gravel trap. I'd love to see what actually happened that resulted in them both going down.
