Can't see this being shown on the telly anywhere. Surprised it's not on BBC N Ireland.

Probably won't be live, but Eurosport will probably show it later, the had the Southern 100 coverage on.

OK- Thanks both of you.

Actually- that reminds me. Wouldn't it be handy (with digital TVs set boxes etc) if you could actually search the box for upcoming programmes. I don't mean by scrolling through the TV guide for 8000 channels etc - just type into a search box & it shows similar-ish titles.

An idea for some tekky bloke there.

I use an app called Beamly that you can set reminders for programmes, it also shows other similar broadcasts, not seen a Dundrod broadcast yet, but it doesn't go more than 1 week ahead.

Keith Amor was pretty beat up I understand. Broken sternum, ribs, possible punctured lung. His was the pit area next to us and they broke everything down fairly sharpish after the fall. Not sure about the other riders, but nothing major I believe.

Says fk all about anything or anyone else, including Danny Webb who was injured in practice? I'm not being morbid but it would be nice to know they're alright. Especially when they just turn the fking camera off so you don't even see if they get up or not.

Know what you're saying. Mind you, when the course clean up van was bringing back the damaged bikes and they were off-loading them, there was a throng of ghouls outside our pit. Don't really understand that. We were getting the bike ready for the next race and had to push through them to fetch and carry.

I was at Dundrod at the weekend,spoilt by the weather I know but curious as to why you think it's
a weird venue.

Re turning the camera off quickly is afaik standard practice to stop the ghouls and people who
don't want wish to see the aftermath of a serious crash.

Weird isn't always a bad thing, by it's nature it's an unusual event and I don't think you would disagree. I had some gripes, but still thoroughly enjoyed myself.

I don't take issue with no drawn out views, but they pulled the plug so fast you barely saw what happened. I wouldn't mind so much but the communication was then poor. I heard a racing incident announced, then nothing. Everyone back, then silence again. I can't even see who the riders were on the website two days later. It's not a huge deal for me personally, but it's bad form I think.

You enjoy it yourself? I'd never been before. fking awesome despite weather.

I guess like scunnylad says that's the balance isn't it? I think most of us would agree it's human nature to be curious, but it's not beyond any of us to show some respect and choke it down. I can ensure you rather than gawping I was in the hospitality tent drinking the terrible Lidl wine they provided.

From what ive heard in the majority its just multiple fractures apart from the foreign guy, Keith seems to have worst 'mild' fractures, Dean Harrison broken his ankle & arm, apparantly still wants to try and race at gold cup

I can see it may seem unusual if you have never been to an irish road race before
but they are by their nature ramshackle affairs organised and run virtually 100% by
small numbers of dedicated volunteers,you will not get the polish of BSB etc.
For me that's part of the appeal.

Pulling the plug fast I would imagine is to prevent viewers seeing anything too nasty
as sadly in road racing crashes can and do result in bodies literally coming apart.
Not sure if they had the facility to replay footage,i was moving around and was only in
view of the big screens occasionally but never saw any replays or highlights from early
races,did you see any replays ?
It does seem to be the norm in Ireland to say very little about incidents,not sure why.

Many times at the ulster,on a nice day imho the best race in the world.

If you go again ffs get out of that hospitality st,take your own choice of wine with
you and get in the hedgerows,if you thought it was awesome from the hospitality you will
be blown away trackside
