You see nothing driving over the bridge as the sides are high.
Get there early in the morning and you will be above cloud level.
Its like looking out a aeroplane window.

lots of good campsites in millau itself,
town has some good bars and restaurants ,
gorge du tarn worth a ride through.

+3 for Oradour-sur-glane.....a very sobering trip

If you like your history, then La Couvertoirade is not far from Millau - a 14th century fortified village built by the Knights Templar, that is in remarkable condition.

These I need to see when I go back to this area. I don't think the cave with the oldest rock paintings in europe is that far away either.

Lascaux? Almost not worth going as you don't get to see the original paintings, just some recreations in another cave done by pissed-up French graffiti artists wink

Aye that's true too. But I'd like to see it since seeing the sign & not being able to stop because it was about 3am & I had places to get too hehe
