Givi topbox releasing from the plate

I just bought a Givi topbox and I am struggling to figure out how the topbox stays permanently fixed to the M5M plate. At the moment it just releases when I press the silver button at the bottom.

Anyone can unclip the topbox from my bike.

The topbox is a Givi E370 fitted to a M5M plate.

Please help me!

On mine that catch locks when the key is locked, have you tried that?

I have tried this, I have come to the conclusion that I have a faulty topbox. Was on the phone to two different "Givi specialists" based in the US and they talked me through it.

So there is no part that needs fitting that locks the case to the M5M plate? Just the key?

I've got a V46 on a M5 plate. It just locks on when I turn the key to take it out.

When the box is locked you shouldn't be able to do anything with either of the buttons so I'd say it's faulty
